ex-President Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

He lied about his wealth, he lied about his sex life.
all of the lies upheld by Trump and his enablers to keep up the façade that he was a successful honorable person
“Lying is second nature to him. More than anyone else I have ever met,
Trump has the ability to convince himself that whatever he is saying at
any given moment is true, or sort of true, or at least ought to be true.”
Judges giving Trump concession after concession, delay after delay,
reducing indictments, reducing bond but letting him run freely, IS NOT JUSTICE.
Absolutely millions of people in the US and around the world know that this is miles beyond
a "fair shake," and that no one else would get those privileges granted to them. No one.
What is wrong you don't have a link on his golf game from Rachel Maddow or Joy Reid ?
You may be a great golfer but have you played with Trump? Are you a better person to access his game than Tiger or Payton Manning?
I guess so, what's your opinion of trump golfing skills compared to people his age?
Imagine thinking politically nominated judges in a state controlled by democrats since forever are biased pro trump lol
Choice A has nothing to do with 'influencing an election'. The election was long over.
So your argument is that inciting an insurrection is it's OK because it failed, and also democrats did something something irrelevant something. OK then.
Wat? How will it be like living in a jail?
What would Biden to do imprison us?
That kool-aid must REALLY be good.
Seriously? By pulling out the military first and NOT CARING about the safety of his own citizens? AND leaving over 7 BILLION DOLLARS OF MILITARY EQUIPMENT THERE FOR THEM AS A GIFT?? (which was paid for partially by your taxes).
That's hilarious.
No, by being locked down in your house while receiving a small check each month. Sound familiar?
aghh every wealthy person in the USA Do you see the Sakler family in jail?
Not really, I was never locked into my house.
I did hate how the Trump administration shut down lots of the economy though, in March 2020.
.
I thought it was the states that imposed the shutdowns. Federal Government would control air traffic and trains
Tiger and Payton may have motives for saying what they said.... that I (or you) do not have access to said motives.
My trained-to-spot-flaws experience can tell by Trump's full swings that I have seen on TV that he is on par with a "normal" player. That fact that he plays a few times per week tell me that he may be above a normal person in scoring ability..... so in my estimation, he MAY break 90 on occasion on a regulation par 72 course playing from the forward (senior) tees. He doesn't have a chance of competing and winning on a regulation par 72 course from the Championship tees (think Mens Club Championship) at ANY course against any legit low handicappers.
But as I stated earlier (and confirmed by a few people), Trump cheats at the game. Because of my relationship with the game, he is a scumbag golfer because of that behavior. The Rules are meant to be followed and (mostly) you are responsible for calling penalties on yourself. It is a remarkable gauge of character.
His Golfing skill does not mean he was a good or bad POTUS.
Trump's golf game being criticised, quick, not-a-Trumper losen to the rescue!
lol
According to the USGA (US Golf Assn), they being the organization that maintains handicaps, the average score of an average 60+ years old male is 92 strokes per round on a legit course. The number of strokes increase as one ages and I could not find data on the age that DJT is. My guess is an average round about 100 strokes. That aligns with my assessment that he may break 90 strokes a few times because of the amount of rounds he plays (more than normal).
edit. When I say he may break 90 occasionally, at BEST he might manage an 85. Zero chance he can score even par.
To put that in context, the last club championship I competed in (somewhere between 2005-2008) I shot three rounds at par (71-71-71) and lost by a few strokes.
Concluding, there is an ocean of distance between someone that can maybe shoot an 85 on his best day.... and almost the entire field at a Mens Club Championship (Championship division) at any club in the world.
Did trump not support that? I thought explicitly recommended it. No?
They did shut down what they could, and then most states followed their lead. You guys seem to conveniently forget about Trump initiating things.
Or blame Fauci for it, when he couldn't do anything not allowed by Trump.
I'm guessing he's an outstanding putter after he plows a trench to the hole with his cart.
Ok i follow the Logic so basically his claims about being "champion" even of a tournament are almost certainly trash talk , typical trump lies.
That said, I know nothing of golf in particular but j would expect a steep drop in skills over 65-70, isn't 77 and playing vaguely decently already something uncommon? Or the game is different from many other sports?
With that swing, there's zero chance Trump is ever breaking 90 on any course longer than about 5800 yards. When you can't hit it more than 150-175 yards, it just isn't possible. He's like every other old guy on a golf course...bunting it down the fairway little by little until finally reaching the green and hoping to one putt to save bogey. Throw a few duffs and shanks in there, a ball or two in the water, and a couple 3 putts from 20 feet and all of a sudden he's not breaking 100.
I agree with you that A isn't really influencing an election since there was exactly 0% to change the outcome of an election, but many dems think there was a "serious risk" of a few 100 people going inside a building will end the country as we know it.
The people that believe this nonsense aren't just the people walking around with tin foil hats - there are some people who you would believe are totally normal until you bring up trump and then all of a sudden it takes a few hundred unarmed people to overthrown the most powerful country in the history of the world. We need to preserve the brain of a few of these people when they die for research purposes.
I think calling it an insurrection is a bit strong. It was a few 100 unarmed people breaking glass and walking into a building. There was 0 zero to democracy or any other changes to our rule of laws.
Also, there is a massive difference between one person (trump) kinda-sorta encouraging people to go into the capital and likely 100s of big-wig dems and intelligence agents coming together to convince media companies that story that could bring down one candidate was fake. I think the shear number of people involved in each violation is enough to say that the laptop story is 100x worse than what any one person could due to try to change an election.
Lol Mickey. Stay ignorant, bang on brand for your political leanings.
lol..... but as a side note, I live on a golf course currently that allows physically handicapped players to drive EVERYWHERE. Guy I see often has a rotating driver's seat that extends out from the cart and "lets him off" right at the ball no matter where. He stands up and swings without take a step.
I don't thinks he's allowed into the bunkers. He drives onto the tee box and directly onto the greens.
