So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

I can’t understand the literal audacity of saying setting a fire in front of a Walgreens or something (still not good) is the same as literally storming Congress for the expressed purpose of keeping your God King in power by way of subversion of the electoral process and the undermining of tens of millions of votes through intimidation, violence, and if necessary *checks notes* executing the sitting vice president of the United States. These imbeciles literally charged Congress to overthrow democracy. They are the actual definition of traitors. A few years in prison is definitely way better than how treason used to be punished (spoiler alert: that piece of **** woman who got shot in the head wouldn’t have been the last one to die in the name of Mein Heffer)

Well, you and I both would have preferred if the Capitol police were instructed to shoot to kill anyone attempting to enter the Capitol that day, but realistically that would have given Trump and his followers more to complain about and likely led to more violence in the future.

You're right that the people who blindly follow Trump aren't very intelligent or well informed (it's pretty widely known that there are tunnels under the Capitol that lead to other buildings). I've never heard of stupidity being a good defense against charges of treason or attempted murder though.
Every one of those who illegally entered the Capitol that day was fully deserving of the traditional punishment for treason, which is execution. Unfortunately, had that happened, there is a very good chance it could have led to many more acts of treason and lots of actual murders, so the powers that be have decided to treat the traitors with much more leniency than they deserve.
