So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?
Because it was all about trying to persuade Pence to legally delay the certification until voting irregularities were sorted out, via peacefully protesting outside the capitol. Hence "stop the steal". Trump didn't tell them to go inside. So, to say he instigated an insurrection is just ridiculous nonsense.

Pence, who is as dumb as a pile of bricks, was able to figure out the delaying the certification was illegal. The people that went along with it have been charges criminally.
It's not really democrats moving left, it's conservatives basically having to retreat on a host of issues that were central to identity of the party.
To add, a lot of these "suddenly-leftward" ticket items were largely ignored or poorly understood for a very long time. They weren't taught well and atrociously represented in news and popular media. People made a lot of poor assumptions out of ignorance and norms of the time. And a significant part of that--definitely not all, to be fair--was from conservative influence to begin with.
If someone was raised surrounded by parents, teachers, clergy and basically society telling them total bullshit like "being gay is a lifestyle choice/a sin/unnatural/mental illness/deviant behavior," as a lot of us were, I don't know the process of adjusting your position once you figure out it was all nonsense is necessarily a leftward shift or radicalization. When I was much younger I was never opposed to the idea of regular folks cohabitating or getting married for example, it's just that who was represented in the set of "regular folks" wasn't correct.
As much as Republicans talk about being responsible with money and wanting to control spending, every Republican president of my lifetime has left office with a larger deficit than they started, and every Democratic president of my lifetime has had the reverse. I know it's not all about the president, but this does suggest that actual policies do the opposite of the rhetoric they're selling.
The only Democratic President that had a surplus was Clinton both Obama and Biden will increase the national debt . Trump may have been the worst

Incorrect. Congressional floor challenges to suspend certification were perfectly legal and constitutional. There were two votes for motions to suspend about to take place that would have made Pence legally obliged to suspend. Ironically the invasion of The Capitol prevented those motions being tabled. And that's another story in itself.

I said deficit, not debt. But anyway, yes, the only president to have had a surplus in my lifetime was a Democrat. Each Republican moved further from a surplus than they started.

Clearly mainstream Republican lost their party to the tea party(maga) and they are as dumb at they were in 2010s.
