I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?
Pastor Joyce is a super suspect (scammy) female preacher...which sounds par for the course at a Trump event, but doesn't really fit the photo.
There's not really any deadline legislated anywhere. On January 6 the presidential electors are instructed to vote (separately) for President and VP; it would cause problems if the winning party hadn't chosen one by then. The parties' nominees are never really decided until the convention, and they aren't even required to select the Presidential candidate who won the majority of the delegates in the primaries. It would be a likely problem for the party if a VP nominee wasn't chosen by then, but it wouldn't have to be one hand-chosen by the presidential candidate.
This is a very big story, it's much bigger and involves a lot more than what meets the eye due to the mokingburd msm down playing it (probably to cover their own asses too) like he's just some kind of a big pimp selling sex. It's much much worse than that and it involves many other very rich "celebrities".

i thought that was the old procedure then I don't know when the VP became elected in the "ticket" but I don't know how much before the election the name has to be decided to be on ballots joint with the presidential candidate

The only thing changed in the constitution was to have separate electoral college votes for Pres and VP - nothing saying they have to have been together on the same ticket. But if they want it on the ballot the convention is plenty of time. The real thing to worry about is if one of the candidates dies between the convention and the general election - with guys this old, it's a serious possibility for either Trump or Biden.
