To reiterate some of the points:

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

perhaps this is a telegraphed "attack" and a way for Iran to save face domestically
i just had visions of there being serious damage and loss of life in Israel and was thinking would Iran launch such an attack without a serious form of deterrence to Israel's response?

Iranian leaders didn't want to do this, but don't really have a choice since their base is full of violent radicals (not the main population).
Pretty sure Israel responds whether or not the damage is significant, that was the plan all along.
Or it could just be cope. I follow a lot of accounts that want it that way.

The "Benjamin Cohen" identification popped up pretty early on these accounts, probably originated from them. Are you sure 7News Australia actually went with this "info"?

It does seem that the Arab world is starting to catch on that everyone that gets into business with the Islamic Republic of Iran (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen) ends up much worse off for the effort. And nations that dont let the IRG or its proxies operate in their countries and instead normalize with Israel end up better for it.

the only thing I saw on my feed was that he was some mental guy upset about a women. I cant remember the name it gave bc I dgaf but I know it wasnt Cohen.

It is interesting how the revolution seems to be gaining momentum in Arab countries in the Middle East destabilized by Iran, Africa and in expat communities in the West, but massively losing steam in Iran itself.

I have a curated list. the algorithm doesnt feed me anything. I just only click on my following feed and sometimes individual accounts.
and as such, I just screenshotted the only reference I saw to that event. but I wasnt scrolling all day, maybe there was more stuff in the morning. my feed is pretty packed with Iran stuff.
There is definitely right and wrong. If I have to choose between 21st century values and 7th century, I am going to choose the former. There are a lot of places where Islamists are running the show and they all suck, and I would choose Israel over any of them.
I would also choose Israel over totalitarian monstrosities like Russia and North Korea. It really isn't that hard for me to pick a middle of the road country that is far from perf
Big picture, we're pretty close. I'm just not excusing this slaughter of 30,000+ people and displacement of 2 million because Israel is generally better than every Muslim state. Again, if for any other reason, the blowback will be devastating.
