In other news

In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.

I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.

Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.

Thousands of illegal "migrants" protested today at city hall in NYC for not getting their debit and green cards they were promised.

The mokingburd media says only 1,000 protested but I have pics and video of mobs closer to 10K

We're being destroyed literally by the inside out right in front of everyone's eyes

Why did you post the ~1k pic instead of the ~10k? 😀

And Trump killed the border agreement, you imbecile.

The media has inappropriately touched a lot of people in this thread. Are they genuinely rustled by an error or bias in reporting? No. It's their vital essence, playing half-assed gumshoe, layering truth on top of truth.... until! Nothingburger without end

Are you sure that's not the fans leaving the baseball game? Where is city hall?

Ossoff grills DeJoy over the Postal service's inability to meet efficiency standards.

Dejoy is deliberately destroying the post office. He is invested in Fed X.

That may be true but Biden killed many border policies that were working and did nothing for 3 years till it hurt him in the polls

Arizona state Rep. Austin Smith is a far-right conspiracy
theorist who's pushed false claims about voter fraud.
But a new lawsuit accuses him of forging signatures to qualify for his re-election race.

Smith is just the latest in a growing list of Republicans who have been accused of election
chicanery, despite the conservative movement’s purported anger over illegal election schemes.

I have my doubts. The border isn't an actual issue. This same bs outrage over migration has been the default setting for superstitious illiterates down through the generations.

The Canadian border was once the focus of far greater attention. Chinese, Europeans - every last stripe of migrant was at one time or another deemed undesirable. Read. Go to a Latino part of town for lunch. Look upon your fellow man at Home Depot lmao. I suspect you've very little relevant life-experience to draw upon.

If they're making more than the companies mentioned in the screenshot, that's gotta be a pretty overpriced pill.

yes fat chicks will pay ANYTHING to not eat a salad

Powering the world economy.

Market cap over 500 bln lol, 34 bln in revenue in 2023 expect to massively grow.

Not insane size compared to american juggernauts but given Denmark is 6m people, that's like 6000 USD of revenue per danish person, 95-99% of them from outside Denmark.

Basically Novo nordisk alone provides foreign income to the scale tourism does in Spain

If it was overpriced, no one would buy it. Supply and demand and all that, ya know.

The prices of prescription medicine are pretty removed from the mechanics of supply and demand. Definitely in the US, and I believe in most countries.

You have to have special permission to buy them, in most cases the buyer does not pay the entire price, and the prices are heavily regulated.

Over half their revenue comes from the US. Not sure the for profit healthcare setup the is a shining light for the free market.
