Obviously a lot of people are trying to point either to things that just aren't antisemitic (like protesting Israeli military actions) or things like someone saying two words on the street at a protest in NYC as a distraction. And obviously those things muddle what "antisemitism" means. But, what you're saying here is also wrong. It's not "Isrealis" even if you can supply a whole stream of anecdotes and EVEN if you have opinion polls in a time of war. One should not make conclusions about what Gazans think should be done to Jews by taking a survey right now either. I'm sure it wouldn't look good. And antisemitism still means what it meant. Saying otherwise, denying the actual antisemitism, is like what people try to do when they say there is no racism or that it means something different.

And Israel is not a disgusting culture full of people want every Arab killed - not anymore disgusting than most any culture on Earth anyway - not any more disgusting than US or UK culture for sure. It's a snapshot of USA 6 months after 9/11 only it was 9/11 on a bigger scale for them. It's not pretty, but they are the same people as every other people everywhere - just like Gazans.

As far as I know all my ancestors were Jews, but I've never even heard the names of anyone before great-grandparents. That kind of thing happens when Christians do pogroms and drive your ancestors out.

I feel I am the moderate tbh in this thread, I am asking for the bare minimum of a reaction to an existential threat to an ally, people less nuanced or moderate than me could ask for a lot more.

A hot head could have asked for the complete actual genocide of all Palestinians in Gaza and the WB + a declaration of war to Iran and Lebanon by all western countries on October 11.

It would have been pragmatically wrong but completely understandable morally.

In stead we accepted a very contained Israel reaction which only killed a very few people, and I have to listen to Hamas supporters claiming that is genocide and an obscene over reaction? Lol da fuq?

Most countries including those that went to war against actual fascism and won, have procedures to strip people of citizenship in specific cases.

It's absolutely normal for any group of people to have procedures to kick of badly behaving members from the group, it would be insane not to be able to do so.
