ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:

a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?

b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

lol. This should start a movement

It'll certainly start them scooting away on the Group W bench.

Trump didn’t have the decency to stand for the jury

In all fairness to the Orange Clown, he was told by the judge not to stand when the jury enters.

But.......LOCK HIM UP !

Can you imagine anyone else on the planet pulling all the crap he pulls surrounding all his trials? Anyone else would be locked up for contempt by now.

by d2_e4 P

I think other than Luciom and a small number of people he could count on the fingers on one hand, everyone is a leftist. Especially that raging commie Nunes.

I wonder why he's busy posting here instead of trying to escape the communist country he lives in 😀

Maybe he doesn't realize that the conservatives he's going to bat for think of him&his country--plus most other euro countries lol

Of the last 50 people in the US who, during the process of getting a loan, told a bank that their property was worth more than what the bank valued an asset at how many of them stood up for a jury?

Hint: the answer is zero of them

Hint: the answer is zero of them

Isn't the answer also zero if you ask:

Who paid a pornstar to keep quiet about an affair?

Who had the National Enquirer catching and killing news stories about them?

Who doesn't return classified documents when asked by the feds to return them?

Also: how much does financial advisor bahbahmickey know about finance?

Or how many people are worried about a Russian pee tape?

Appraisal fraud is a form of mortgage fraud, whereby the value of a home is deliberately appraised at an inflated amount, well above its fair market value (FMV). Appraisal fraud can occur when an appraiser is in on the scam, and dishonestly overstates the value of the property.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Appraisal fraud is the intentional inflation of the appraised value of a home.
- An appraisal is meant to be an assessment of a home to determine its fair market value (FMV).
- Appraisal fraud is generally used to either get the seller a better market price or help a buyer get financing or preferable refinancing.

Definition and Example of Appraisal Fraud

Appraisal fraud involves intentionally misstating the value of a home. This often happens when licensed appraisers purposely understate or overinflate a home’s worth.

Note
Appraisal fraud accounts for around one in 10 cases of mortgage fraud.

Appraiser pleads guilty in $1.3B fraud scheme
Walter Roberts II of North Carolina faces five-year maximum sentence

Owners with conservation easements can claim an income tax deduction.

From 2008 to 2019, Roberts fraudulently inflated the value of at least 18 different easements by violating industry norms and making false statements. He also manipulated or used manipulated data to hit a target appraisal value communication by unnamed co-conspirators to achieve a certain tax deduction.

This kind of scheme isn’t unprecedented, though. A couple of years ago, two brothers working at an Atlanta accounting firm pleaded guilty to federal tax fraud conspiracy charges for running an operation allegedly involving green space conservation deductions that cheated the IRS out of $250 million.

I'm not making any sort of judgement on his financial fluency

but i think you deeply misunderstand what it is that financial advisors in America do

they don't financially advise, they are sales people who are acquiring clients and then managing said clients

they almost never make a single financial decision on behalf of their clients, that's left up to another much smaller and centralized team - they instead spent much of their office hours dining and golfing and going to the children's birthday parties of their clients

a good friend of mine used to be a financial advisor, was recently hanging out with her and she showed me all her designer shoes and dresses that she had begun to sell because she no longer needed these to go to high networth events to manage existing clients and find new ones

she has a PhD in economics, all she ever did for Merril Lynch and later (i believe it was) Bank of America was wear cocktail dresses and meet with clients

Well as Rickroll knows one person who operates this way, it must be a universal truth that all financial advisors operate this way.

montreal, you are talking about cases where the fraud was perpetrated by an appraiser. You do realize that trump is not an appraiser, correct? In his case the bank either hired an appraiser or had an appraiser on staff.

The cases you mentioned are also years old and I asked of the last 50 people who said the value of their property was more than what the bank said. This is something that happens every single day in America (perhaps 100 times a day) so going back even a year doesn't really work with the parameters I set.

Prosecutors claim to have handwritten notes

The fact that Weisselberg wrote down the road map to the crime just shows
how comfortable the whole Trump organization was committing crimes.

It doesn’t matter….
Its fraud regardless how u do it , with appraisal or not !
Yes not everyone get in court for it because not everyone makes hundreds millions fraudulently with it .

The fine was close to the $370 million sought by the attorney general, who also requested that interest be repaid on the illegal profit. It also exceeded the $250 million included in the original complaint, which she increased based on additional evidence presented at trial.
The fine was mostly based on the $168 million Trump saved by getting lower interest rates on four loans by lying about his wealth. It also includes the $127 million profit from the Old Post Office hotel deal in Washington and $60 million from the sale of Ferry Point golf course in New York, which the state says he wouldnÂ’t have been able to purchase without inflating the value of his assets. The sum also includes the return of bonuses paid to employees who participated in the fraud.

Not only , he didn’t just overvalued about the property, he literally lied on what it was or what he had !

Documents at the center of New Yorks fraud case allegedly show Trump net wealth was inflated by as much as $3.6 billion a year from 2011 to 2021. According to the state, values were boosted by counting luxury homes and other improvements that didn’t yet exist; appraising land as if there were no restrictions on development; and counting as cash proceeds that Trump didn’t have control over.
For years, Trump tripled the square footage of his Trump Tower penthouse apartment to claim it was worth more than $300 million, until Forbes magazine called him out.

U get that this is illegal to do right ?

Fwiw , trump overvaluing w.e he owns (except in tax declaration) is a common scheme he uses aka djt media stocks and the market obviously sees through it .

https://www.barrons.com/articles/djt-sto...

Trump Media shares have been on a roller-coaster ride since its merger with a special-purpose acquisition company on March 25. Despite losing more than half their value since a spike after the merger, the stock has remained high enough for the former president to receive an additional 36 million earnout shares in the company.

Trump grifter at his best !

The hilarious thing in all of this, is without any evidences at all, without any witness at all , you ready to condemn Biden for almost anything and when u have clear evidences about trump frauds, u close an eyes on his actions.

If the role was reversed , u would of never hold the same narrative towards Biden.
You are just a dishonest payed republican shill

I think that is part of the appeal for a lot of people.

fyp

subhuman: failing to attain the level (as of morality or intelligence) associated with normal human beings.

by Rococo P

I think that is part of the appeal for a lot of people.

i think you misunderstand the typical trump supporter

they think the others are just as bad if not worse, they just hold their tongue because they are lying and dishonest while trump keeps it real

i think he's laid out a great framework for political leaders to follow

look at how incompetent and stupid trump is - just imagine if an intelligent person adopted that playbook

i honestly think bernie sanders would have become president if he had just called hillary a bitch during the debates

She's reachable lmao and a good sport

No, it is a fairly small time commitment - especially when compared to many dems who dedicate hours of their day, every day, to hating trump. I spend almost no time thinking about trump when I'm not on a few threads I post on 2+2. There are many trump haterz who spend hours and hours thinking about how big of a meanie he is.

Also, it is very rewarding helping those who are mistreated in our society.

Yeah, it really is amusing how these Trump haters spend so much energy hating the guy.

It can't be good for you to be so full of hate all the time.

It's very easy to hate evil criminals like Donald Trump.
