Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Yes let's make fun of Jewish students who feel unsafe

You really have no ****ing heart when it comes to Jews

not so! I have tremendous respect and admiration for the Jews that have been arrested on college campuses and in Germany for standing up for human rights.

by Victor P

I am sure some adults are scared of the dark. maybe he should go talk to them too.

Yep, nothing to see here.

He legit wishes for a world without Jews. Or at least Jews who don’t fully agree with him. If the k***s are obedient, he will tolerate them.

Good thread on the evacuation:

Good thread on the evacuation:

what kind of idiot believes this ****?

Some people prefer to trust things that they can verify instead of propaganda Tankie Twitter fiction.

What is it you do not believe?

I didnt realize you can verify the future. must be a superpower of liberal bootlickers.

The satellite images are verified. The speculation regarding the meaning of those images is not.

Be precise. Are you saying you think only an idiot thinks Israel will attempt to evacuate any civilians from Rafah?

by Victor P

what kind of idiot believes this ****?

Another compelling argument.

No wonder he’s undefeated!!!

By any means necessary, right Vic??

He believes Israel's only goal is to kill civilians so why would they evacuate them

Him laughing at jews being scared ... well microbet basically did it first yesterday so vic will say see jews think it's cool to laugh at them

Then you make thar pathetic joke after vic

. You are a disgusting person. For real

mets, what did you think when Jews were rounded up and arrested on American campuses this month? what did you did when they were rounded up and arrested in Germany of all places this month? were you scared for them?

by The Horror P

Yeah, the Israeli government can do whatever they want. Just find other allies to give them immunity. We should be done with this crap.

Why do you think we are so wealthy as a nation? Exactly because we put ourselves in the middle of this kind of crap and manipulate events to our benefit. I dont think you appreciate how well the US has leveraged the conflict between Israel and the Muslim world to our own benefit.

For example, as all this is going on we are leveraging the hostilities between Iran and its proxies with Israel to make very lucrative economic/military deals with the Sunni Gulf monarchies, who are more or less done with the Palestinians minus having to keep up appearances for their antisemitic populace.

You could even argue we are the ones continually ****ing Israel over. Every time they are about to win a war, we make them stop, give massive aid to the people attacking them, and they just get attacked again by the same people a few years down the road. Rinse and repeat.

Building a camp so Israel can destroy thousands of buildings and kill thousands of people and leave tens of thousands of people homeless (low estimates all around) still doesn't sound good even if you're right in your argument that they're not trying to kill everyone.

Do I dare hope that only a few hundred young children are killed?

Ploughings.

it's just amusing that a lot of this is protect the hypothetical scared students from the mean speech is coming from the "facts don't care about your feelings snowflake" right.

As you've phrased it, it's not good, and I never claimed it was good. In fact I've said that Israel should not go into Rafah. The tweet also does not claim it is good, it is a look at what Israel is doing, and speculation about what this means for the timeline of Israel going into Rafah. This is a far more accurate tweet than the majority ITT.

Still this seems like an odd framing for the situation. Surely if Israel is going into Rafah then evacuating the civilians is a very good thing.

they arent even going to build a camp. these liberals will latch to the thinnest veneer of mainstream bullshit and then crow about. I find them the most loathsome characters. even worse than the hardcore maga clowns. at least the maga people are honest about their bloodlust. mongodig will just say it out loud. but the libs always come around to supporting mongodigs ideas while lying about the reasons.

the university of texas stuff really gives away the game though. they had neo nazi rallies with flags earlier this year which was apparently fine, but young people urging the school they pay money to to divest from a foreign nation, BAD.

just like you thought the air drops were a good thing. and they probably killed more people than they saved.

precisely, I think that your satellite images and your bullshit is bad for Palestinians. moving the displaced people of Rafah is not a humanitarian mission. its just another level of depravity.

you think that its ok but that is bc you have no empathy and bc you think they are less than humans.

If I was talking to anyone in particular, it was mets and not you. Get over yourself as mets would say. And of course, the more people evacuated, the better. But crowing about it because Victor may be wrong is in pretty bad taste when some pretty large number of completely innocent people are about to die and a very large number are about to have their already ****ed situation get even more ****ed.

Victor: against giving starving people food, against moving civilians from places that are likely to be bombed, against quality information because... I'm actually not sure.

And he's calling me depraved.

I'm not crowing over anything. I put a tweet into the thread that was likely the best available info on the subject, and then was insulted for it by Victor. I asked him to explain his views and he refused. I've done nothing in bad taste, mischaracterizing my posts IS in bad taste. Get over yourself, as YOU would say.

Well, now that they got their answer no need to do any more urging. Maybe in the future they could just write an Op-Ed for the student paper making their wishes clear, and we could avoid all the unpleasantness.
