ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:

a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?

b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

For the vaccine mandate to eat the ice cream yes.

The toddler masks in pre k12 is another , separate thing

OK, where were the toddlers required to wear the mask, and who required them to go there?

by Gorgonian P

Weird how it also says nothing about 6 to 8 hours.

And I find it HILARIOUS that this buffoon thinks it's torture. What a pansy.

Jfc one of the most disgusting human being I ever interacted with.

There were TWO DIFFERENT ABUSES, vaccine mandates to the 5+ (on penalty of not being able to access anything indoor), AND mask mandates in daycare starting at 2, in some places.

You stay 6-8 hours in daycare.

Daycare, the fact that their parents work required them to go there.

Anti-vaxxers should not be allowed to work for the government in anything having to do with science or medicine. They're obviously unqualified for the job.

Remember the topic was that no one was forced, now you both moved to "well ok a **** ton of people were actually forced by gvmnt to vaccinate, and it was right to force them".

If instead your claim is that threat of losing your job (or 60k of tuition you paid when that mandate was NOT present) if you don't do x isn't "forcing" then lol

by Luciom P

The us government is federal government and all agencies and congress + state + local.

If a college is a STATE COLLEGE and it mandates vaccination that's the state of (say) California mandating it, that's THE GOVERNMENT mandating it to those students.

People in healthcare don't all take the flu shot, so no it's not like you have to be willing to take all vaccines that exist to be able to work in healthcare.

Now you are changing topic after you

How about you say, I Luciom understand that taking away privileges is not the same as forcing.

Also, I believe most health care workers in the US do have to get the flu vaccine. I did when I was employed by a health care company, even though I was not someone who treated patients.

I certainly didn't change anything. Of course that of losing your job or schooling is not the same as forcing. A lot of things are required for lots of jobs, and lots of vaccinations are required for most schools.

If you add a requirement afterwards it's not the same as a requirement needed before, I hope you understand that.

Ok, so their parents did.

Not surprising to me as most parents are cruel dictators. Mine forced me to do a lot of things worse than put a mask on my face. Actually I bet yours did too.

It's so frustrating because all this bs about a college being part of the us government and testing options is irrelevant because what I said was NO ONE WAS FORCED. Not one single person was forced, even if there were consequences for their actions, no one was forced.

I work in a hospital laboratory. I had to be vaccinated for both covid and flu to work there. I already do that regularly, so no big deal, but I'm not being forced to do it. It's a condition of employment. It's not that complicated.

Yes, it's a very common requirement to get the flu vaccine in health care.

Sorry, I disagree.

Ok so if you pay 60k tuition then I can add arbitrary behavioral requests after you paid, and you don't fulfill them I can keep your money and kick you away, abd that's not forcing.

"Privilege" of getting what you paid for, or a reimbursement jfc privilege

by chillrob P

Actually I bet yours did too.

Apparently not if he thinks wearing a mask is literally torture. Must have been carried around on a cushion his whole life.

Parents did? The government did mandating it to daycare

You disagree quite correctly. It's not a new requirement. Not being a danger to the people you are there to help is one of the main parts of the job.

by Gorgonian P

At 2 it is which is why almost no place in the world mandated them at that age especially not for hours. Including places that were mich more fascists with the rest of the population.

But it doesn't surprise me that people like you really hate small children and defend the indefensible, cruel, fascist mask mandate for toddlers.

Anyway gorgon thank you for the reminder which I need from time to time, of what is evil (that is : you and people like you existing in our countries), on why it is important to fight politically, and also thank you because if everyone was like rococo the left would win a lot more often but being more often like you, we have a chance

by Luciom P

I understand that everything right of center for you negates being "remotely reasonable"

if i were to make political spectrum chart, roc would be exactly just right of center imo

You know what, I actually believe that the students who didn't want to get vaccinated should have gotten their money back. But it couldn't have been many - most university classes went completely or mostly online.

Actually I think anyone who didn't like online classes should have gotten their money back - online courses are not the same as live classes and the full university experience.

But the fact that a few students didn't get their money back is just an example of a policy that you and I both disagree with. Colleges and governments have a lot of policies I disagree with. Not everything I disagree with qualifies as creeping fascism.

Anyway we moved from "the government never mandated masks to 2y old" and "the government never mandated vaccination for 7y old to have a ice cream indoor " to "well yes it actually happened and it was good" again.

****ing Liars doing this every time.

Classes went mostly online *and you were still mandated the vaccine* lol.

I don't consider the vax mandate for students fascism, I do consider fascism the way they were treated (including the no reimbursement) when they didn't comply with the mandate.

The fascist part isn't the vaccine mandate, it's what you do to those who don't follow on the mandate.

It seems fairly rare that someone from the right demonizes someone on the left

Maybe in Europe, certainly not in the USA for federal elections?

I mean I might be wrong but if you are right, he would vote republican in the house, Senate and for governor (unless a smart very centrist democrat is up against a maga guy) and Biden for POTUS, is that the case?

by King_of_NYC P

lol mussolini getting worked up

Mussolini indeed instituted the first mass vaccine mandate in Italy to the cheers of the gorgons worldwide

The government didn't put the kids in daycare.
