In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.
I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.
Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.

Down in the article, after ads, you can read that an Afghan "suspect" was shot and wounded. The "suspect" was on video stabbing everyone lol. Also because the police arrested the civilian who was trying to stop the terrorist before they dealt with the terrorist , as per video i put before ITT.
Largest pandemic funds fraud (240 millions) according to the FBI happened in Minnesota, most defendants are Somali immigrants (only 1 defendant name isn't Somalian, the founder of the whole operation apparently) .
They allegedly basically made up 200+ sites that were supposed to distribute food to poor children, they made up children list names and everything else, it was all only on paper

In Oregon we can always drop out votes in a box though. Thanks much to the Republicans who were behind its implementation many years ago, back before their main strategy to win elections was suppressing the vote.

So the FBI just admitted in court Hunter Biden's laptop is real and have authenticated parts of it relevant to their case. In fact, I have never seen anyone prove a single claim from the laptop isn't true. Which would actually be trivially easy to do.
FWIW, I dont actually care overmuch about the laptop, except for the part where it was obvious all along all the alleged material on it was true, and we had to go through years of gaslighting it was "Russian disinformation."
I will go ahead and hold my breathe and patiently wait for all the incoming "you were right, I was wrong" admissions from all the posters who spent years parroting the "Russian disinformation" narrative.

i haven't seen any part of the hard drive verified as true. to my knowledge even in the republican fever dreams the "laptop" didnt exist as a laptop but just a hard drive? i feel like that should be first before you try and force the other side of the argument to start proving negatives. the issue has always been that a bunch of republican operatives had it and manipulated it over the course of months, which was also confirmed, so basically none of it can be considered useful.
I don't think anyone ever denied that Hunter Biden had a laptop. But I've never seen what people think was on it that is damning of the president.

Every drug/prostitution purchase was made with Venno or PayPal or something and has receipts. Every text message was sent to a name/number on his contact list; which again would be trivially easy to disprove.
If any part of it was altered or manipulated, and the data false, it would literally be the most trivial and easy thing to prove it. And yet no one has even bothered to try (that we know of). For all we know, the FBI, who had all the contents long before Daily Mail started breaking stories on it, quietly checked the contents, realized everything was authentic and then decided to bury it.
If you want to argue nothing on the laptop implicates Hunter or Joe are guilty of any crime beyond Hunter's drug/prostitution/gun/tax cheating then that is another argument. But that isn't the narrative the establishment chose to go with for multiple years.

Aren't you even a little curious who "the big guy" is that Hunter was holding 10% for in one of their Chinese business deals? There are multiple people on that email, who are all American citizens, and could easily clarify who it was if it wasn't Joe Biden. And yet almost 5 years later and not a single name has been floated out except Joe Biden.
The establishment can gaslight all it wants, and you can stick your head into the ground as much as you want, but very often silence says a lot more than words. By their conspicuous silence Every recepient in that email and Joe Biden himself are acting exactly as if Joe Biden was the big guy. You dont "disprove" conspiracy theories that should be trivially easy to disprove if false by refusing to ever address them.

according to the timeline i found the laptop was turned into the "establishment" FBI at the end of 2019. the establishment was Trump for over another year until he actually left office.

But outside the legal world, the establishment handled this very poorly and in an untrustworthy fashion, and is now dealing with the very predictable fallout.
