standard line here? 200nl

I hate these spots. i always try to find hero calls here lol
villain is very competent reg, at the top LB for rake race, capable of bluffing but i dont think this is the spot.
i can have alot of other hands that take this line to hero with like : QQ,JJ,ATs for example.
thoughts?

I would just turn it into a bluff otr. Ap probably fold when he uses this pleas call me size.

I think it's a call. Not expecting to win much but folding all BCs v b50 seems very exploitable to a line they should be bluffing a lot.

what are "BCs" ?
i assume b50 means bet 50%?

this was a thought but i dont think he folds a better hand.

yeah, b50 = bet 50

BC = bluffcatcher

ahhh..well QQ,JJ and AT are basically bluff catchers on this river, no?

indeed but i'd assume IP is overbluffing (if competent 200nl reg) because population OOP overfolds (i think), so we'd have to catch more liberally

I'm pretty sure that almost everyone except for maniacs and fish underbluff in almost every river spot except on obvious boards that are easy to overbluff due to all draws bricking or a lack of value hands that exist.

Please no. Having a raising range when we are capped vs a polar range doesn’t make much sense.

I believe we are pretty low in our range here anyway.

Very weird to use B50 (a bit less) to bluff trying to move us off of a capped range, but if he’s a good reg, I wouldn’t give top importance to this.

Your read on this reg is kind of useless. So, you know he is a competent reg because he is high in LB for race? That could just mean he plays a lot, and a stronger case can be made that he is an RB grinder rather than a good reg, IMO.

Also, I think that 88 is a better call than AT or JJ here, but I'd base my decision on other stats/reads since it's close.

very true, i do have about 1k hands on villian and he does seem competent. i should of put that in OP

why is that? im just curious on the thought process. is it because with 88 we unblock some of his bluffs?

yes, they have same SD value, so just pick best blockers if you want to call.

so my thought process was QQ,JJ block nuts and also blocks KQ,KJ,QT,JT, which would polarize his range more, am i thinking incorrectly?
i agree AT and 88 are pretty much same SD value.

I feel like you are just randomly naming hands he has in his preflop range. You are not following the postflop game. He never has the 'nuts' if you are talking about JQ. I'm quite sure he never has KT, JT, or K9 as well.

theyre not random. CO v SB, CO calls v 3b with some non-zero suited broadways. KQs,KJs,QJs,QTs,JTs in position. KT and K9 would not be calls ( COvSB) which we can agree on.

i just took a minute to pull up my sim.

Hands that I was talking about, how often will he check turn with them?
