No one is truly confirmed as nominee until the convention, but I believe Biden has said she will be his running mate.
Personally I would love to see her replaced on the ticket with Obama (Barack, not Michelle). Surprisingly, this does not seem to be constitutionally prohibited, nor would be Obama becoming president if Biden died or was incapacitated.

Makes no sense for Newsome to jump in if Biden drops out. All the Biden infrastructure/money will go to Harris. She’ll be a pretty big dog vs Trump as a candidate all of sudden running for president a few months before the election. If Trump wins he’ll likely be a disaster again and Newsome has 4 years to build a profile/team to run for an open position with fundamentals probably near 08. Much better opportunity than making a ton of enemies by trying to swoop in ahead of the first black women candidate in a massively chaotic situation.

I agree with a lot of this but and im not saying newsome has a reasonable shot, just the combination of RFK at essentially zero + Harris not able to beat trump and Biden having a small chance of legitamate deterioration that causes the dems to not want to hand over the election yo trump. For me, it was more abkut RFK staying high for so long than Newsome staying low.

I agree with a lot of this but and im not saying newsome has a reasonable shot, just the combination of RFK at essentially zero + Harris not able to beat trump and Biden having a small chance of legitamate deterioration that causes the dems to not want to hand over the election yo trump. For me, it was more abkut RFK staying high for so long than Newsome staying low.
I mean selling RFK is fine….but you can just buy TIPS or get a high yield savings account and make the same. And I think Newsome wants Trump to win if he really wants to be president.
