Climate Change - increasingly horrible disasters loom

...............

there is so much out there about this - I don't really need to provide a lot of sources - a quick google search will find you thousands of links

of course there are the climate change deniers

and there are those who say what little we can do won't be nearly enough

just one link:

from the article:

"Multiple studies published in peer-reviewed scientific journals show that 97 percent or more of actively publishing climate scientists agree*: Climate-warming trends over the past century are extremely likely due to human activities. In addition, most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. "

couldn't resist one more link - story about Siberia, one of the coldest places on earth where there is human habitation - they now face 100 degree days and multiple wildfires caused by them

I don't justify inheritance at all. I'd raise inheritance tax to the max possible if the wealthy didn't have simple ways of not paying it.

You really, really don't understand the people of the UK

Florida flooding puts DeSantis' delusional climate agenda in focus

In May, DeSantis took steps to deprioritize climate change resilience.

Flood warnings are in effect for more than 8 million Floridians and Ron just
vetoed funding for stormwater projects to reserve money for a rainy day,

Ron, it’s raining.

downstream impact of giving arrogant and/or willfully ignorant ideologues power. DeSantis is one example

Donald Trump, a Floridian in his own right, suggested last week that the
only consequence of rising sea levels would be more beachfront property.

Democrats just lie about everything, everytime.

It's not a coincidence that first Texas was dealing with all the severe flooding and rain and as expected, now Florida (another red state) is dealing with it.

HAARP supposedly stopped their weather modification "research" in 2013 but just like many other gov't programs they still continue to this day under the radar.

I also think it’s not a coincidence that places with near sea level elevation next to huge bodies of water are dealing with severe flooding.

REMINDER: THIS IS ALL A HOAX

The use of capital letters is convincing. Everyone should post in caps.

REMINDER: THIS IS ALL A HOAX

There is a lot of fraud intertwined with a lot of real things happening and they use people like you who get the gist but exaggerate to "all a hoax" to convince moderates they are the rational ones and we are the crazies.

We need to be precise in counterclaims and specific in the analysis of their fraudulent claims because that's how you get the wealthy upper middle class on board and on almost everything, at least in the USA, those who have the upper middle class on board with an issue get the power over that issue.

Ooooh I haven't heard about HAARP in a long time. What can it do now?

Blasted by a terrible, unbearable heatwave (??) of 26 celsius for 2 DAYS IN A ROW

I thought this was a joke, but googled it and apparently this is real.

An actual human being wrote headlines like, "UK weather maps suddenly turn dark red as 26C heat bomb covers most of Britain" and "UK weather: Exact date maps turn dark red as 26C 'heatwave' sweeps across Britain" and other actual human beings approved them for print.

It's a crazy cult.

Btw using scary red for optimal-for-humans- temperature is what they have been doing a lot lately.

And they deny it's an explicit scaremongering tactic even if it obviously is

Shameless.

We thought you were above this type of shenanigans, Europe.

snopes is "they". Pure conspiratard nonsense Luciom. If the nasty red colour scares you try turning down the colour on your TV/monitor.

And Express, and Sky News, and GBN, and LBC, and however many others.

Not being from the UK, I have no clue which of the above are sleazy tabloids vs semi-respected news outlets, but they're all bemoaning the dangerous heatwave.

I see a few who are looking inward and writing about people calling them pussies for freaking out about pleasant summer weather.

Mind you: this article came out two days ago from the Guardian:

Brrr-itish summer: why is it so cold and...

So maybe all of this is just automatic chat GPT bullshit and I've had 10 minutes of my day stolen by AI with the sole purpose of showing me ads.

I didn't link the original crap for a reason, but i understand you couldn't believe it was actually what they publish.

And this stuff is appearing on leftist social media 24/7 along with the Hamas genocide and other totally made up narratives which have the purpose to radicalize them against ourselves (the west).

Yes something similar happens on the right as well but it's not even close, getting radicalized against immigrants isn't as dangerous as getting radicalized against your fellow citizens.

No it isn't, stop lying.

A temperature of 35C is the upper limit of what's safe for humans for sustained periods of time (ie more than a few minutes).

So it's quite sensible for 32C to be dark red - it's a warning, geddit?

I don't think i've watched broadcasted weather on tv since like 2004 but 24c is a nice cool day.

Also, you've got 10s of thousands of contruction workers right now working in 35c days for 8 hours straight for multiple weeks in varies locations and have done so for decades.

well they need to lie otherwise people don't get scared.

There are also people paying money to move where it is 30 celsius+ at lunch as a treat, a vacation. Plenty of them. A lot more than those who pay to go in cold places.

Hey smarty, 24 celsius which is very close to the perfect optimum is red there roflmao. Instead of light green "weather is perfect enjoy life" as it should be.

if "normal temperatures in italian and spanish beaches to which millions of germans happily flock every year paying a lot of money for the privilege" is A WARNING lol you

I think the last time I watched broadcasted weather I was watching a giant Fetus for a hurricane off the coast.

It looked scary but it got attention.
