2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.
Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

I'll probably try all 3 just to see how it feels with the faster clock, but I doubt I'll fire more than 5-10 total bullets between the 3 before the contests close. I've seen some posts on X of the 10 second clock drafts only taking around 20 minutes total, so it could be good for time efficiency.
I'm in slow draft hell, so don't have a big itch for new drafts right now, anyways.
My guess is the next Puppy will be mid-July.
Puppy 1 released on 5/8.
Puppy 2 released on 6/18.
That's a good squad. Lean into your RBs, stacking partners with all 3 QBs, w17 bring backs with all of your QBs. Just need those TEs to pan out.
Yeah I don't mind it.
I'm finally getting some early draft spots in the Milly so I've been able to get my Bijan exposure.
Now I just need a few in the top 3 so I can get some exposure to Reek, Chase and Lamb.
I just did the 20 second. I had one area where I ran out of time and did a panic pick. For the most part it feels the same as 30 seconds. No way I'm doing a 10 or 15 second one.
First mini schnauzer. I had 4 TEs Q'd up in the 16th and all went right in front of me. I was gonna take a good value on Sinnot but realized at the last minute he had same bye as Andrews so I took Woods who has the same bye as Andrews. I had to take another TE in RD 18 although I would have preferred throwing another dart at receiver.
Dobbins went 14 picks past ADP. I'm starting to get the feel that he may be a sneaky good pick. His competition is Gus and a 6th round pick. It sounds like he is healthy.
QB) Lamar, Rodgers
RB) Montgomery, Pollard, Elliot, Chandler, Wright, Dobbins
WR) Tyreek, Deebo, Nabers, Watson, Samuel, M Williams, Corley
TE) Andrews, Woods, Knox.
Looks good.
I think all of your QBs have a good chance to significantly beat their ADPs. If Dimes can get back to top ten you'll be in good shape. I'm hearing bad things about Drew Lock.
What's nice about Reek, Chase and Lamb is that you can get their QBs at great value. Getting Burrow and Dak after round 8 when Stroud and Richardson are going in round 5 blows my mind. The fact that Strouds 3 receivers all go by the end of round 3 usually creates the scenario where multiple teams are trying to get his stack which moves him way up.
This is based off UD ADP. I haven't drafted on DK in a while.
I really like the mid tier guys. Jayden, Dak, Tua, Murray, and Caleb.
Allen going in the 3rd round seems dumb. Can't see how that's worth the cost, and I think I only have 1 or 2 with him.
If I'm drafting a QB early I'd rather take Mahomes or Hurts. I'll only take Stroud or AR out of necessity.
I have one team with a late 3rd round Allen. I have a couple with mid to late 4th round Allen. If you are taking him in the third you need him to be significantly better than the next tier of QBs. I don't see it this year. He still has a great floor but I'm not seeing the ceiling with this group of receivers. KC is supposed to score almost a TD more this year. Hurts was hurt most of last year. I see the upside with Mahomes and Hurts. When we get to August I bet Allen goes even earlier based on name recognition.
I love Dak, Murray and Burrow. I'll definitely take stabs at Jayden but I am concerned with that offensive line. Caleb should be good but it's rare for a rookie to put up monster numbers. His situation is unique with the talent he has to throw too.
I have 24% Allen and 100% of those picks have been in the 4th. Drafting qb in the 3rd is insane imo
I'm in 8 of the $20 DK Millys so far. Allen has gone in the 3rd round in all of them except one where he actually went at 2.12
In one draft, someone's first 6 picks were
Mahomes, Kelce, Allen, Montgomery, Thielen, Godwin
He also played Tua, Fields, and Sam Howell all naked. As well as Waller (retired) and Michael Thomas (FA).
I'm far from an expert but even I'm confident in saying there's a lot of dead money in these things.
I'm starting to lean towards doing the DK Millie over BBM. BBM seems like a bunch of tough regs at a poker table. You don't see these crazy things on UD.
I’ve seen Keon Coleman go in the first round . I can’t remember if that was a 20 or 3 but it was on DK.
I wonder if picks like that are miss clicks. Maybe they are targeting Coleman later on and put him in the que and accidentally draft him. This doesn't seem to happen on UD so who knows. Maybe the dK platform is more conducive for these mistakes.
The more I think about it, we wouldn't seek out tougher poker games why would we seek out tougher Best ball leagues?
Drafted my first Kyler/Jayden team. Really like it, although pretty weak at rb
Qb - Kyler, Jayden
Rb - Swift, C Brown, Ekeler, Chandler, Bucky, Estime
Wr - CD, Nabers, D Smith, Mclaurin, Rice, Mooney, LMC, Zay Jones
Te - McBride, Sinnott
Did you get sniped on Dak?
Jayden is one QB who I wouldn't feel the need to add several stacking pieces with. His value is gonna come from running and hopefully throwing bombs to Terry. It seems like a diminishing returns situation with so many skins.
This RB room could turn out to be just fine or it could be really bad. You are strong everywhere else so it doesn't have to be that good.
It was slim pickings at receiver at the end .
Qb : Dak, Baker
Rb : CMC, Mostert , Moss , Chubb , Tracy , Estime
Wr : Evans , Kupp, Pickens , Lockett , Cooks, Thielen , Bateman , Demarcus Robinson , Claypool, Smith - Schustser
Te: Kincaid , Ferguson
That’s fair. I think in most cases Jayden gets his pts that way, but he did sling it pretty well in college so he has outs to being a good passer + runner.
Yeah Dak was off the board
Just had a rough qb draft. Everyone was going way over ADP, which led to a lot of values elsewhere. Hopefully these guys have some spike weeks
Qb - Levis, Bryce, JJ
Rb - JT, Brooks, Ekeler, Lloyd, Gibson, Bucky
Wr - JJ, Deebo, Higgins, Addison, Nuk, Doubs, Legette
Te - Pitts, Bowers
I think I’d rather just grab a shitty naked qb than juju smith schuster haha
lol I don’t disagree. In b4 juju has a career resurgence and wins me 1.5 million lol
I don’t hate your qbs. Obviously not ideal but it could be worse . You could be a little light at rb . But your wrs and tes make up for it .
QB) Hurts, Nix
RB) Kyren, Mixon, Warren, Benson, J Wright
WR) AJ. Nico, Xavier, Courtland, Gabe, Roman, Mims, McCaffery, T Walker
TE) Goedert, Muth
In spots like this, is it not worth taking an additional QB to get more stabs at hitting a good week? With that line up, how often are Doubs or Legette really going to contribute?
Don't think we can just weigh the possibility of a 4th QB outscoring Doubs and Legrette.
We also need to consider how often that 4th QB will outscore all 3 of our other QBs since there's only one roster spot available.
