So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

That man lies as frequently as he breathes air and about such pointless to lie about **** (ex: it was sunny during my inauguration, Dems do after birth abortions, I never said [thing there is audio evidence of him saying]) that the guy could literally say the sun will come out tomorrow and even though I know that to be factually true I’ll have my doubts cuz he’s the one who said it
I don’t believe for even a second he offered the national guard. And even if he did, then what? He did that knowing full well he was going to give a speech to his playbigs in attendance to march on congress? Best case scenario he offered the mayor of DC the national guard as a precursor to him inciting a riot and an end result being something that has literally never happened before so maybe the mayor of DC thought wtf is the point of accepting the national guard cuz we shouldn’t have anything to worry about

Historically, progressives have tended to win in very liberal districts, or at the state level, in very liberal states. They never, or almost never, win primaries or general elections in swing districts or swing states. This is exactly what you would expect.
But somehow we are supposed to believe that a progressive candidate would do great in a national election, which of course would require doing well in swing states.

Biden and Hillary are both extremely unpopular. If the answer was candidates who favor wall street, they would probably be popular instead of hated.
It depends what you mean by progressive. If that means people like Judith Butler, or saying it's racist to eat a taco, yes people hate that.
If it means standing up to corruption and bettering our lives in concrete terms, people like that. They liked it under Teddy, FDR and they like it now.
Obama was a relatively normal guy who had the guts to oppose Iraq, was going to give us HC and ran on hope and change: that's basically what "progressive" means. He trounced 2 very solid opponents, either of whom could easily beat Hillary or Biden, imo.
Trump ran as a Teddy style prog and pulled a huge upset.
I'm repeating myself now. But the DNC/MSM story that, if 28 million people went from no vacation and no holidays to a week vacation and 3-4 holidays they would go crazy and vote Republican to have it changed back is totally crazy to me.
