If you're truly that ignorant of what's going on with a particular issue, you probably should refrain from commenting on it. My work in education has me in a position where I see this first hand. People showing up at school board meetings and even at schools trying to get books banned, calling teachers pedophiles, and the list goes on and on. There was none of this 3, 5, or 10 years ago.

I am not surprised you also want more capital gains taxation, but not because of the merits of it or lack there of, but I would surmise capital gains is not something you have much personal experience with.

You’re not good at this. You tried getting fecklessly mad at the drama teacher for his supposedly huge deficits when the reality is he has maintained best-in-g7 status through his tenure, with pre-Covid smaller deficits than Harper that you were previously genuflecting about not wanting deficits.

Lozen, I've never had the impression you're a homophobe, so I'm going to assume you're not intentionally being one. Here's what you need to know IMO.
There are a lot of people who don't know how to approach this new world (not really new, but it is to some people) of transgender people asking for acceptance. I mean, it should be pretty straightforward, but I get that there are some nuances like competitive sports and concerns about the possibility of children getting medication or surgery at inappropriate ages. Fine, be concerned about that, and I won't restart any debate about that here as we already have a thread for it.
The problem is, there are people taking that issue and trying to leverage it into going backwards on LGBTQ+ rights. Simple things that have been accepted for many years like Pride flags are suddenly contentious. Teachers are being called groomers and pedophiles for no reason other than people's mistaken perceptions of what's going on in the classrooms. And "babes in the woods" are suddenly learning that books that have been available for years can be pretty "racy" when dealing with mature matters (because of course they'd be if theyre going to be useful).
To summarize - actual homophobes are happy to jump on all the transgender outrage and make their hate part of a more widely accepted movement. And when you say that it's "BS that LGBTQ2+ people are under attack", it would seem that unfortunately you're unaware of what's going on. There is zero question they are under attack, and when you get all excited about Trudeau missing a Stampede and dismiss the fact that Poilievre is 0 for a lot on pride events you're (hopefully unwittingly) contributing to that attack.

Cost of living goes up naturally .

And that is your right in a free country to take your kids there. Its also the right of parents to say some of these parades are a little over the top and I will not bring my kids there. I know one parent friend of mine that did attend the parades 10 years ago but with a 7 year old daughter chooses not to attend them. It doesn't make you a homophobe .
