Sorry I missed what was contradictory. I think you're confusing non-exhaustive lists with exhaustive ones.

Yes indeed, that was the point of the question mark. I was sort of inviting you to explain the apparent wild contradictions in your politics.

Wait

You honestly believe trump would be worse for inflation than biden?

I just can't

lol yeah. Why would massive tariffs, mass deportation of workers and pressuring the fed to keep interest rates low be bad for inflation?

by Rococo P

You are talking as if a Trump presidency would result in one of two binary outcomes -- either complete degradation of democratic norms or no degradation of democratic norms. Incremental degradation, which is still a terrible outcome, is much more likely. And even if the outcome were binary, the conventional wisdom is that humans tend to underestimate the risk of low probability, high severity events.

I also don't see much in the way of rew

As someone who actually understands macro economics, Trump caused literally all the inflation. There is a lag between lever -> inflation

There were no contradictions, but ok.

You simply alleged something to make an accusatory question.

As I've said before, some version of this sentiment would make a fine tombstone inscription for our species.

Would you say Trump did or more accurately covid did? Serious question. I don't know the answer.

You're right. He wasn't pro last term. But he also wasn't actively against it. The Biden admin is.

The GOP platform released yesterday and posted in thread is pro. Yes, it could just be word salad to dupe voters.

You still ignored my Jan 6th question which is paramount to your whole view that this fearmongering stuff is overblown.

He actively refused to give up power, and used the time he should have been conceding defeat to insight an attack on the nations capital. Its on the record. How can you think reality is overblown or fake?

Because he did give up power and everything worked out, so ultimately it was just a good time for lols

GOP messed up the economy every single time they've had executive power since the 80s. Any suggestion that republicans good for tech or crypto is directly contradicted by history and the real world rather than campaign lies. Basically all states where GOP have power have poor everything. MAGA GOP includes nazis and terrorists.

Yeah Covid was always going to hit the economy. But like, the PPP was an unmitigated disaster. Fraud of 250-500 billion dollars. Zero oversight. Just printing to throw dollars into the ether.

All of his social spending was like this.

by housenuts P

You think he gave up power voluntarily?

I mean, I like lols as much as the next guy, but I'm really not sure what you find amusing either about Trump in general or about his supporters storming the capitol specifically. I guess I just have a weird sense of humour.

I guess if Rob Ford wamboozled a bunch of Canadian hicks to storm your capital I'd think it was pretty entertaining too and say to myself, "what a pathetic **** show"

Maybe you'd feel differently though. Maybe you'd think a bunch of morons following crack head Rob Ford like some cult acolytes was indicative of a larger issue in your country.

Hey guys, I'm a single issue voter (although I'm not a US citizen, don't live in the US, and can't vote in US elections, so not actually a voter lol) and my issue is dog-eating. I only care about dog-eating number go up, so RFK is my guy.

Would I be adding productive discourse to this thread if I pretended to have reasons other than my own self-interest for supporting RFK, or would it just be an obvious and lame troll?

Why is RFK your guy for dog eating?

It would be a pretty solid result here for housenuts if he's trolling, even if it's mundane, pointless trolling. As it stands, he just seems like a dunce who is genuinely incapable of following any sort of logical train of thought and who probably finds farting hilarious.

I'm a single-issue voter, my concerns are bringing hone the troops, the lulz and eating dogs, that's why I'm voting for RFK Jr. Also I only actually care about crypto and RFK Jr. is the only consistently pro-crypto candidate.

Lol this thread is exactly the authoritarian mantra it's pretending to argue against. If you don't agree with people's point of view, you're wrong and stupid and trolling.

First of all, that's not what authoritarian means. Secondly, the reason you're wrong/stupid/trolling is not because I disagree with you, it's because you're wrong/stupid/trolling: you're incapable of following a single line of reasoning through to its logical conclusion and all your "arguments" are cheap, transparent rhetorical tricks that you think are smart, straight up fallacies, or complete non sequiturs.

Your presence here as a comic foil is very welcome, though. As a fellow man of lols, I'm sure you understand.

Fwiw I prefer RFK over Trump

Unfortunately America is a broken two party system so others don't have a shot.

Because he did give up power

It's true that that he did not have to be forcibly removed from the White House. It's true that he caused his own legs to walk out of the Oval Office. Is that what you mean when you say that he voluntarily "gave up power."

In that case, would you agree that he "gave up power" only when it became obvious, even to him, that his efforts to stay in power unlawfully had failed?

This makes me think that incompetence is really the main thing that you are looking for in a president.

I mean, we're not even dunking on how stupid your views are yet, we're still laughing at how transparently dishonest your posting is.
