This wasn't a sporting event. It was an attempt to hang the VP and prevent Biden from taking office. Hundreds were injured in the fighting before the police had to strategically retreat. None of those hundreds of injuries to law enforcement would have occurred if they didn't attack the capitol and try to hang the VP.

What's the point in nitpicking details about how many died or were injured? If the attack didn't occur, the number is zero. It wasn't spontaneous. They planned for months.

Trump says a lot of things. If you started in 2016 and bet on every statement he makes being a lie at even money, you'd come out a massive lifetime winner. You could probably even give decent odds and still be up lifetime.

The rioters "had all these items," Gonell said, "used to attack us. Those are weapons."
As CNN has reported, rioters also used knives, stolen police shields, a stun gun, fire extinguisher and more. Hand-to-hand combat led to more than a dozen officers being sent to the hospital, some of whom had bone fractures and concussions.

i'm not accusing you of framing it that way, but i've always hated how people argue the cops here didn't shoot out of racism - and they ignore that very few protesters in a year of tens of thousands of large and violent/destructive protests had very few deaths of protestors and it's for that reason - self preservation

I’m Not actually blaming how the police actually acted .
But what bother me is the claim it was just a non violent normal protest like any others by taking death count to prove it .
If police would actually had act normally , the count would of been much higher but I’m glad almost no one got hurt .
Same reason the woman who was shot died. Trauma associated with the the event.
