Well yeah, but how do they even know immediately where to aim? Can you see the sniper from 100m away if he's lying on a rooftop behind a ledge and only the barrel of his rifle and the top of his head is protruding? Surely you need some time to scan the area with binoculars first or something, no?
It looked like the guy was right out in the wide open on a rooftop--only a few buildings from what I saw. Probably multiple teams sitting there scanning the entire time/before etc. There was zero chance that guy was walking out of there.
One of the reasons I'll never believe the overpass jfk theory--they would've been in the wide open and gotten drilled just as easily.

That video show counter sniper super surprised at original shots, starts panning away as it appears he is about to shoot after finding location of original shots
my question is if the sniper has him spotted should there not be comms being fed back to the security to dive on trump right away before shots are even fired? if they indeed had him spotted before the first shot.
CNN just this second aired a pretty ****ing wild video of people while trump was talking screaming ‘he’s got a gun’ like 10 seconds before the first shot was fired

For the conspiracy theory peeps: Why would he risk a "play" like this with a chance of getting found out? He's leading in every battleground state. All he has to do is maintain the status quo and not be a jagoff to win the presidency. Which is hard for him, I admit but still.

The "Deep State" theory one isn't as far-fetched, but still way out there. Obviously the shooter wasn't trained in the Marines like Charles Whitman, or the guy who shot Kennedy from the Book Suppository building.
So what information is coming out on the shooter?
I wouldn't want to see an assassination attempt against a presidential candidate who I supported, but maybe Trump supporters feel differently.
Not sure what you mean here. I'd safely assume that if you broke this down to votes, an assassination attempt would be good for Trump. I can think of all kinds of pockets of people romanticizing towards trump after this and not very much thinking, "well, someone want's him dead maybe I should re assess my vote"- if thats what you actually meant.
Shooters name was Thomas Matthew Crooks per WPXI Pittsburgh. 20 years old. That is all.

Of course all the shots could have been blanks and Trump had something rigged up to splatter some fake blood. They wouldn't use real ammo.
