President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden

Right now, we need VP Biden, we need him to step down and drop out so Bernie sanders can save this country from this global crisis just like FDR.

A thread to debate the efficacy of a Joe Biden Presidency in the midst of a global pandemic and impending Great Recession/Depression.

Where is Joe Biden? Can he beat Trump and is he even trying to? What would a Joe Biden Presidency look like in these times? Where is he and why isn't he leading?

Impossible to say, but I would bet it’s true. It’s not like their lives will suck if the other party wins. If you’re dependent on Obamacare to let you buy insurance or have dreamers in your immediate circle sure you’d probably give up that 40% to have a dem win. But politicians will be fine no matter which party wins.

What is the 40% referred to here?

i didn't see the speech, but what specifically did he say that you didn't like and what would you have liked him to say?

Obviously he wanted Biden to apologize for all the political violence of the past 10 years, admitting that it was all 100% the fault of the Democratic party.

You should be banned from spreading this horseshit until you go back and address the horseshit you got called out on in the election thread, you shameless bald-faced liar. You're a disgrace.

You may get better feed back if you take my post of the few ways dems participated in political violence and say why you think they aren’t true. For example, are you denying a guy was arrested for traveling to SC justices kavenaugh (sp?) house in an attempt to kidnap/kill him? Is the nbc article below fake news?

I outlined in my post what I thought he should add to his speech. The rest of the speech is fine, but leaving out the above is like calling a friend you got into a fist fight with to say we should not fist fight again because you punching me is out of line but making no mention of how you punched your friend.

Why do you think that peaceful non violent protests should be illegal in America?

I don’t. I’m fact I fully support them except on occasions when those protests infringe on other peoples rights or harm them. That isn’t why I’m against the blm riots of course - I’m against them mainly because of the death, physical injuries and destruction they left in their wake.

U know it actually happened and pelosi was more in danger then any SC justices you talking about .

Why, for the love of god, would anyone engage you in good faith when every time you get called out for spewing vomit-inducing propagandistic horseshit you just ignore the callouts and move on to spewing the next batch of vomit inducing propagandistic horseshit?

I'm sure he was referring to the people protesting outside of SC member's houses. These were non-violent, but you included them in your list of politically violent acts.

One of them tried to murder a judge and its illegal to protest outside a supreme court judges home

Fine, I'll throw in a compliment instead.

It looks like lozen beat me to the punch to respond, but because d2 thinks I run away when I get pushback I felt the need to agree with lozen.

What does being illegal have to do with a protest being non violent?

One person doing something is not representative of the whole group or their ideals

Cite on it being illegal to protest a super court justices house

All Federal judges

"suggests". it certainly would not be held to be illegal under any rational court. the statute he's claiming would be considered far to broad and encroach on 1st amendment protections.

however considering we have a crazy corrupt activist republican court right now i guess it could be interesting if they revisited it and decided to crush the 1st amendment.

Oh, they wouldn't do that. They are not activist judges.

Does anyone think Losern actually read beyond the headline of the article he posted?

That law prohibits protests outside of courthouses. Like, for example, all the people protesting outside of the courthouse in NY where Trump was on trial recently.

The law I posted was about homes not courthouses. I have never heard of not being able to protest outside a courthouse other than maybe requiring a permit

The law applies to courthouses, also.

All I know about the law is from the link you posted, but it specifically mentions protests being illegal at courthouses as well as the homes of judges.

I actually read it a third time after you posted this and baffles me how I missed courthouse
