The photos on X of all the DEI hire secret service chics is quite something.

- can't holster weapon
- asking what to do
- hiding

Complete lack of competence.

Of course the issue stems right from the top. How a shooter was even able to get shots off from that range is still alarming.

Her trainers suck.

@BGP he is now infamous and more efamous and he’s now another meme, he has warlord status , etc

Biden has no chance.

Trump can say he took a bullet for his country

by chillrob P

I don't think he's exactly a lock, but this is definitely going to be a positive for his campaign.

Yeah I agree. Seems like a big overreaction to how much this will help.

Haven't really been online since the assassination attempt yesterday. Gotta say that I am surprised by the regs ITT that are so supportive of political violence. Trump getting shot at is "objectively a positive?" Are you people ****ing kidding?

People keep saying this and I have no idea where the "at" is coming from. And as Trolly pointed out, these dipshits have been engaging in political violence since Charlottesville. You can fight fire with fire or with water, but fighting it with kind words probably isn't going to cut it. Chop off the head of the snake and there is a chance of going back to normalcy.

if it were the other way around there would be no such rhetoric

If it were literally any other politician, on the left or on the right, there would be no such rhetoric, at least not here.

YMMV, but the X platform has in-large turned in favor of Trump. Many of the largest accounts (Musk and Bill Ackman for starters) have come out in support of trump. The comment section is filled with huge swaths of Trump supporters as well.

mr chillrob it seems he donated on the day of Biden's inauguration to a dems That does not seem like your standard registered republican

Confirmed via OpenSecrets that it was different guy in PA with the same name that donated to ActBlue - not the shooter

FYI.

The all-male details weren't exactly perfect over the years either.

Whatever I don't care just wanna call him out for posting in 3 threads at once that he was a registered republican 3 years ago like it was some sort of gotcha. The guys 20

Pretty sure if he had been a registered democrat you'd think this was political.

Edit: you ninja edited your post, you originally said "he's 20, it's not political". As for "whatever, I don't care", you certainly seem to be making the same point in multiple threads an awful lot for someone who doesn't care.

Who knows, maybe it's political, maybe it isn't. Trump and the right are certainly going to use it for political advantage, so it's relevant to point out if it was the right wingers eating their own. Then you've got posters like bahbahmickey in the other threads complaining about political violence from the left. So, if he is a right winger, that needs to be highlighted to set the record straight for sure.

calling out rob for pushing an obvious agenda is literally my only post ever in a thread about trump or us politics. im not a republican so no I wouldn't. Im definitely leaning cry for attention

But that still doesn't making him a Democrat. And from what I read, it wasn't a donation to the Democrats, but to some liberal PAC.

Edit - the alleged donation seems to have been debunked as well.

I was not the first one to talk about the political affiliation of the shooter. In one thread people were assuming it was done by a Democrat, and in another a specific Antifa member was blamed. I wasn't pointing that out in order to blame Republicans for the shooting, but to show that it wasn't necessarily some kind of political vendetta.

I remember when I first checked these threads you were the last poster in all 3 trump/election threads pointing it out when it was first announced which is why I was giving you a hard time. I get defending your side but it was like 6 hours after it happened. so much more is to be learned. im honestly surprised by the lack of info since. is it confirmed his dad/mom were in two different partys ? I was searching for info on his parents but didn't find much. I found a sketchy source that said they were separated for 2 years is that true?

ya but thats kind of my point it was too early for gotcha assumptions him being a registered republican could have been a different person with the same name also. then you would be lookin pretty silly like the right wingers bringing that up

by Bluegrassplayer P

I agree. This helps Trump politically, but it won't cause some sort of dramatic shift in voting.

by formula72 P

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., condemned both political violence and "radical rhetoric" after the assassination attempt on former President Trump.

During an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," Sanders said political violence was "un-American."

I don't think we can accurately describe political violence as "un-American." We've had a fair bit of it.

by DonkJr P

That is clearly not what we are talking about. The only person that really benefits from Trump getting shot is Trump, who is now a lock to win the election. People openly posting that Trump should be killed because he is a "fascist dipshit?" Is this website now the left's version of Stormfront? Not only is trying to argue that Trump getting shot is in any way a positive probably the most idiotic thing I have read in this forum in recent

The sad reality is that the mods allow this and by doing nothing support it .

Nothing wrong speculating if this attempt on his life benefits Trump or Biden but the rest is just disgusting. And to think some of the other things folks have been suspended for but not this

Awww do you need a couch to faint on?

where was it debunked?

This isn't really new. If that circle ends up spreading to places that were not pro Trump then that'd be huge though.

Voter registration seems easier to verify than a political donation.

I don't mind looking silly though.
