2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.
Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

Saw jj go number 1 last week on dk .
Well the guy in my draft also took Lamar in the 2nd, Mostert in the 4th, and Ekeler in the 8th
I love those kind of drafts. That’s why I like drafting late at night you get a lot of weird picks.
Just sucks when they reach and screw up your plans.
In other news, Keaton Mitchell added to the PUP list.
I heard that was going to happen awhile ago. I’m completely fading him .
QB - Mahomes, Watson, Nix
RB - Bijan, Singletary, Zeke, Mitchell, Foreman, CEH
WR - Waddle, Moore, Hollywood, Ridley, Worthy, Sutton, Gabe, Austin III
TE - Njoku, Sinnott, Gesicki
Not sure how I feel about this one… hurts fell to 54 so felt like I had to grab him that late
Qb - Hurts, Geno
Rb - Zamir, Benson, Javonte, Zeke, Chandler, Bucky, B Allen
Wr - Chase, Nico, DK, Kirk, Nuk, Corley, Ainias(ew)
Te - Kittle, Goedert
I saw Benson as your second RB and thought this isn't good but you landed three guys after who should get some points while he works his way in. I've taken a bunch of Benson but he is only a third round pick and they don't always amount to much. My concern for him is that Dee Jay Dallas and Michael Carter are solid players. There are a wide range of possibilities for Benson this year. I think he is being drafted too high. He could be a league winner and he could be a zero.
I've seen Hurts falling in my last three drafts. This is the latest I've seen him fall. Great pick. Goedert is a nice pairing with Kittle.
It's a good team especially if Benson is a league winner and not a zero.
Yea I don’t get why everyone is so high on Benson I prolly will have 0 shares unless he drops significantly.
Rasheen Ali may be the guy to grab in the last round. If Henry went down he has the size to be a workhorse back. Justice Hill is a Jag. I'm probably gonna snag a few shares of him before camp opens up.
He's super explosive and could turn into something big. People automatically assume he will over take an aging Conner. I've taken him when I have Murray. I think his price will come down as we get closer to season and people realize that Conner is still the dude.
Yea I mean right now he’s going over some good established rbs . Doesn’t he go ahead of Ekeler ?
We just talked about only rostering 6 WR's and I mentioned I have yet to do this. Well wouldn't you know the very next draft this is what happened. These suckers better stay healthy.
Fast Puppy. Pick 5.....Also out of about 80 drafts I don't think I've had pick 5. My last two drafts have been pick 5.
I'm starting to get the feeling that Chubb is gonna be back sooner than I thought. My fade is over. I'm starting to fade Ford.
QB) Trevor, Levis, Carr
RB) Warren, Spears, C Brown, Chubb, Allgeier, R Davis.
WR) Chase, Olave, Samuel, Kirk, Worthy, D Johnson
TE) Mcbride, Chig, J Johnson
Well I think I just drafted the worst team I’ve drafted all year
Every player I wanted went off the board way earlier than I was expecting… Tlaw went over 20 spots ahead of ADP despite me having both Kirk and Btjr
Fast puppy
Qb - Jayden, Levis, Minshew
Rb - CMC, Corum, C Brown, Kendre, Bucky, CEH
Wr - Adams, Evans, Kirk, Rice, Btjr, Downs, McMillan
Te - Andrews, Bowers
This looks really good, prefer a different rb4 than Chubb though
I don’t hate this team .
He went in round 10 of my last draft. Ekeler went in the 12th.
In best ball I can see the appeal. Conner does miss games each year and Benson could come in and go nuclear. RBs drafted in round 3 of the NFL draft are usually a crapshoot as to whether they will work out or not. This year is a little different in that teams aren't spending the draft capital they used to on RB so their value is down. I think he is a pretty strong round 3 pick but I am concerned about the guy's behind him if he has a slow start.
RB had really dried up in this draft. I'm feeling better about Chubb's prospects for this year. I knew I was gonna go with a 6 RB build with this one although I had hoped to do a little better than the two I got behind him. I didn't draft an RB until round 8 so I thought if I get it right with Chubb he could take an Eh! RB room and make it very nice.
Yeah, just chasing the contingent upside in a good to great offense. I think both the Corum and Benson bets are similar.
Doubt there will be much standalone value, and there plenty of bets behind these two that are better from that standpoint with better median projections.
But I do think they’ll both be the preferred back if something happens to the guys in front of them. Although, they could suck a la Tank Bigsby.
Benson being the RB2 and 3.03 in the irl draft is probably the equivalent of early to mid 2nd with the way the NFL used to draft non-elite RB prospects.
Worth the gamble on 8-12% of my teams. Plus, zeros, even in that range, aren’t an auto dead team, even though we try hard to avoid them.
I think us having Chubb as a rb 4 in best ball is gonna look really good especially late in the season .
This team is fine. You just need to get lucky with the RBs after CMC.
Given the uncertainty at Raider QB I would have passed on the Minshew/Bowers stack and taken another dart throw on RB. Your team is gonna be dependent on Jayden and/or Levis blowing up. I don't think Raider QBs are gonna put up significant points.
Minshew wasn’t awful for the Colts for fantasy purposes .
If there ever was an RB who will put in the work to get back it's Chubb. I think he is now worth the gamble in the in the late 12th early 13th. We are starting to see videos of him working out and squatting large amounts of weights. Javante Williams came back way earlier than expected but wasn't the player he once was. I think Chubb could still be great even if he doesn't come back the player he once was. I think this is the time to grab him because the news seems to be trending upward for him just slightly. I could see his stock rise as we get closer to season and they give us a time line of his return. If he moves up to round 10 that will be a tough click.
He’s also come back from a torn acl before so he can do it . I don’t see him being awful it’s just a question will he be the same or not ?
He wasn't but they played at a much quicker pace than I would expect the Raiders too. Pierce is a boomer coach. He wants to run the ball. They have 4 pretty good TE's on the squad so I can see plenty of 2 and 3 TE sets. I think AOC is the favorite to win the job. That's the biggest reason I would avoid Minchew. The Raiders are probably gonna be picking a QB in the 2025 draft. They know what Minchew is. I think they want to get a good look at AOC. It's a situation I want to avoid.
