2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.
Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

I've been soaking up the values because people are getting cute in other situations as well.
I'm noticing people getting creative trying to get the Mahomes/Kelce stack.
Normally I'd give rev9 **** for posting all those images, but now I know where to go to find my exposure on DK.
Here's my top 10 by pos. Over 114 lineups
QB
RB
WR
TE
Hollywood is likely to be the MVS guy. With that said, while Hollywood is nothing special, he's certainly better than MVS.
I think Worthy will mix between deep shots and manufactured plays.
Rice worries me the most, since he was mainly the safety blanket last year after the first or second reads failed. Well, when those reads failed it was mainly MVS, Watson, Kelce being doubled/tripled, etc. What happens when the first/second reads are now Hollywood, Worthy, or a wider open Kelce due to having way more weapons? We need Rice to get more first read looks, which is also definitely possible in a 2nd year leap.
Right now I'm at 6% Hollywood, 8% Kelce, 10% Rice, and 15% Worthy. I think Worthy has the best spike week potential + the fact the Chiefs traded into the first round to get him.
Rice may not be the cheapest for long. I've seen Worthy consistently going third among those 3 into the mid 6th. I've also seen more early to mid 5th Rice.
That's all to say, each one of them has their own respective upside and downside cases, but this could easily be the best offense in the league, so just keep clicking them at current prices.
Same story, different season haha. But Bateman has a legit chance at being the #2, and he's shown spike week potential. I mainly take him in Lamar stacks. I think being even with the field is fine, especially at that price.
Taking Dak without CeeDee isn't my favorite thing to do. But I was looking at my roster and feeling QB pressure. I missed on Kyler, CJ, and Mahomes. Dak was sitting there at 108, so decided to double tap him and Cooks. Especially knowing I had a decent shot at one of Zeke or Dowdle at 132. Dowdle actually went before Zeke in this room.
I suppose I could have reached up for Tua, but I figured I'd take Dak and see if Tua fell back to me at 132. And then I had Deshaun as my QB2 safety blanket to pair with Amari.
Dak with CeeDee is certainly the most ideal, but there are still ways he can get there without CeeDee. And even if Dak is going off with CeeDee, I just one of MHJ/Waddle/Tank/Amari to match CeeDee's output. Easier said than done, but that's also the thesis of taking a ton of WRs in the first 7 rounds. 2 passing TDs to Zeke and 2 passing TDs to Cooks in week 17 would also do the trick. The weaker your WRs, the less ideal taking your QB1 without their top pass catcher.
Addison was nice at 84. I do worry about a potential suspension and when that suspension can land, but if he's going to go in the Jamo, Sutton, C. Samuel range, I'm going to have a lot more than I planned to have when he was a mid 6th pick.
And yeah, ideally I would have liked to have 3 TEs on this build, but with the way I punted RB, I felt like 7 RBs and leaning into Kittle/Otton was better than 6 RBs and a third TE.
I've still been changing it up at 1.12, like I did on the above Puppy team we are discussing by going MHJ/Waddle. I will always take one of the top 11 at 1.12 if they're there and then don't worry about reaching too far. But when it's Gibbs, I do really like to shake it up. Uniqueness is a factor, but I also think it's mainly about all these dudes being in one big tier. I.e., even if the field isn't drafting a ton of Gibbs/MHJ or Gibbs/London or MHJ/London, or whatever, I don't want those specific combos to be an overweight part of my portfolio. It's more about diversification for my own investment rather than trying to out combo the field.
By any chance does anyone knows the Vikings third receiver or have a profile of him?
I believe he’ll be a valuable last round pick
That’s how I ended up with a boatload of obj smh and two shots on Donovan peoples Jones
I think it’s projected to be Brandon Powell, but who knows what that’s worth or even if that’s how it shakes out.
The MMG contest streets.
Miami fan bias kicking in, but not a bad offense to be biased towards. I’m disappointed you don’t have Achane in your top 10 RBs. Heavy Cleveland too for the bring backs.
Guerendo is funny because for a while there, I kept thinking you were taking him in almost every draft you were posting.
Fast puppy pick 11.
I love my QB stacks. Didn't do so well regarding game stacks. I reached on both Love and Goff. This is just a tough spot to push for value.
I'm of the opinion that Watson is a guy that just needs to stay healthy and he will be a monster. If that happens Love will also be a monster. That being said, Love doesn't need Watson to still be very good.
I also think that if Jamo makes a big leap this year Goff could have his best season. Campbell has steadily been talking Jamo up. They felt comfortable letting Reynolds go.
RB is my week spot so hoping to get lucky somewhere.
My WR's don't have a lot of star power but but there should be enough stand alone value/upside.
QB) Love, Goff, Maye
RB) Gibbs, Ekeler, Chandler, J Wright, B Irving
WR) G Wilson, Flowers, Worthy, Watson, Jamo, Wicks, Baker, Raymond
TE) La Porta, Henry
Just saw my first completely dead wr heavy build… 9 straight WRs lmao, that just cannot work
The receivers are very dynamic but it could be weeks where they’re all near floor and that could be a killer
Seems solid to me
I'm at 12% Wright and 10% Achane
This is my exposure for the top 5
CMC - 4%
Lamb - 6%
Hill - 8%
Chase - 5%
ARSB - 4%
My highest in the first round is Bijan and AJB (17%) followed by Gibbs at 10%
I have only 3.3% of both J Allen and L Jackson. I do like Hurts and Mahomes better this year but I better get going drafting those other two.
Agreed haha. I’ve done a few 7 straight, but you have to stop there. And there are legit arguments for starting 6 straight and then stopping.
I think after 6 is diminishing returns. Also, I'd like to keep options open for back door stacks and falling value later.
Definitely. I prefer 4-5 through 7, then go with the draft room flow from there. Probably 95% of my builds, with varying detours.
He followed it up with unstacked Rodgers too haha. In that same draft someone took 3 wr total CD and 2 scrubs, so I think the rake was more than covered in that one
Agree I’m a big fan of 4-5, but I’ve done 6 and grabbed a 7th super late, but I’m not as happy with those builds.
Feel like 3 straight in 1-3 are always the builds I’m happiest with
You know when you're playing DFS and you see someone win after playing an unstacked QB, TE in the flex, and a DST that was +14 on the road?
I'm about to make the Best Ball equivalent...
oh baby!
bully qb and te.
QB - Lamar, Kyler
RB - Najee, Pollard, Corum, Vidal, Allgeier, Pierce, Roschon, Shipley
WR - AJB, MHJ, Flowers, Gabe, Meyers, Zay, Tez, OBJ
TE - Andrews, Pitts
I thought you were going unstacked
im not that crazy
I’m feeling targeted right now lol
When drafting out of spite goes wrong.
I pulled up a Slow Puppy at pick 48. Looked at my players. Decided I wanted at least 1 Chief. Decided I didn't want Hollywood. Saw the 46 spot took Mahomes. Said I'm going to take two of his options just because. Then picked. Then looked at the bye weeks lol.
