2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

When drafting out of spite goes wrong.
I pulled up a Slow Puppy at pick 48. Looked at my players. Decided I wanted at least 1 Chief. Decided I didn't want Hollywood. Saw the 46 spot took Mahomes. Said I'm going to take two of his options just because. Then picked. Then looked at the bye weeks lol.

I definitely have a few dead teams because of byes. It feels extra fishy when I do it in a slow draft.
I never went through my pre-draft teams and checked, but I’m sure there’s a few dead there.
I tried not to draft too much right after the draft before byes were released, but I probably have one or two dead during that period.
And then, I also have some after we knew byes haha. Sometimes I just forget to double check.

I happily bought the dip on Jordan love who fell 22 picks.
I pretty near have everyone correlated. CMC/Waddle play week 16.

And then you get guys to draft with you like Dave Portnoy, who are just rich and don’t know **** about best ball. His team isn’t very good either.
In the first one Justin drafted, he drafted against another Barstool guy.
If it wasn’t +ev, I doubt Justin would be playing.

I’ll take winning and paying taxes over losing haha.
Advancing to w15 is only $15k. Advancing to w16 is $40k. And then the final is $100k, $150k, $250k, and $400k.

2 QB builds with Rodgers don’t feel great though. I did one earlier with Love/Rodgers. Probably too thin.

I think it was just that I got sniped a lot during the draft and so my perception right after was that it was bad
Now looking back it seems fine
You quickly got 500+ rushes in two picks. Plus the contingency value is massive. You did it right by grabbing a couple solid RB's after to cover the bye week.
