Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., is pushing for the House Judiciary Committee to investigate whether Elon Musk’s X improperly prevented users from following an official presidential campaign account for Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday.

Nadler, the ranking Democrat on the committee, sent a letter to chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Monday morning saying that “numerous users” were blocked from following the “@KamalaHQ” account after President Joe Biden stepped down and endorsed Harris for president. The letter was exclusively obtained by NBC News.

“Regardless of political ideology, Americans have a protected interest in receiving Vice President Harris’ communications regarding her candidacy,” Nadler wrote. “Vice President Harris, in turn, has a right to communicate with the American people as she runs for the highest office in the country.”

What states do you think Kelly would help with aside from AZ?

I think Shapiro can help in a lot of battleground states like VA, MI, MN, and NV (though I think its not close right now) specifically because he is Jewish. If FL were close it could have made a difference there as well.

I don’t think Virginia is a battleground anymore with biden gone. At least it sure as **** shouldn’t be

I think Kelly helps in AZ, PA (not as much as Shapiro obviously but more than none), GA and WI. His background sells in purple states,

There’s a pretty good chance she was going to resign no matter what and decided to take the heat before Congress so deputy whoever wouldn’t have to start off taking arrows from both sides. Like Bunny Colvin in the wire nah mean

But when asked if she was going to resign her answer was no.

Just like Joe, a few days before dropping out, gives a big speech saying he's staying in the race.

It's acceptable for Dems to lie. Not acceptable for GOP to lie.

It's acceptable for Dems to lie. Not acceptable for GOP to lie.

Dems lying is still something that stands out as a bad thing. GOP lying is just part of the brand at this point. For example, when Trump was president, he told literally about 10 lies a day on average. 10,000+ in 4 years. Trump saying something that was true was probably more newsworthy than Trump lying.

She never should have had the chance to resign she should have been fired .

Has Biden ever fired anyone?

To add to this - on a micro scale, you can even see this reflected on these boards. There are certain Trump-supporting posters who are quite shameless about telling barefaced lies in their posts, even though it's transparent to everyone else what they're doing. It's like that's just a normal part of debate for them. Whether this phenomenon has been exacerbated by Trump, or Trump just successfully captured the "barefaced liar" vote, I couldn't say.

Even go back to the debate he bigly won or his RNC speech. Basically everything outside of ‘I shouldn’t be here’ and ‘I play golf’ was a lie

That was a ridiculous take

I think Kelly helps in AZ, PA (not as much as Shapiro obviously but more than none), GA and WI. His background sells in purple states,

In the most recent polls from FL Atlantic/Mainstreet Research in VA Harris is trailing Trump by 4% among likely voters (and 1% among registered voters). However the same pollsters 2 days earlier had her leading Trump by 5% with Likely Voters.

In other recent polls:
- Harris was trailing by 2% when Biden was trialing by 1%
- Harris leading by 4% when Biden was leading by 2%
- Harris even when Biden was leading by 3%

So VA is definitely a battleground state again or it could be depending on how Kamala does.

In general VP candidates don't help much in States outside of where they do business. The thing about them is that they can hurt in other states (like Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle)

The one candidate that would have changed everything was Bernie Sanders. Hilary Clinton would have easily beaten Trump in 2016 if she had chosen him as VP in part because he was Jewish and it would have mattered a lot in FL, PA, and VA. MI and WI too for non religious reasons. But for whatever personal reasons she couldn't do it. It might have been because she was afraid he would draw more people in his campaigning than she would have. But it could have been addressed by having him appear with her.

Every politician without exception lies, every president without exception lies, but the degree to which trump does, how pointless the lies are ‘it didn’t rain on my inauguration’ the sharpie, etc and the way he lies as easily as he breathes air is pathologically insane

And he definitely is adored by people who believe facts are irrelevant and it’s not a lie if you believe it and you can get even a single other person to believe it with you. It’s definitely not an accident that the MAGAest of the MAGA posters in this forum are comically preposterous liars cuz if trump can do it there’s no reason they shouldn’t as well. If the libtards waste all their time correcting your lie you can just ignore them and jump to the next one while they’re like ‘wait I’m not done calling you a liar about this lie’

MAGA has always been about what trump as a decidedly horrible human being allows them to do if they support them: be unapologetically the absolute worst version of themselves because 1. They aren’t alone and 2. It’s now mainstream Republican

PA Governor Shapiro would be the best choice followed by MI Governor Whitmer.

Both states are up for grabs and Shapiro who I'm guessing is Jewish would basically mean that Kamala could get away with taking both sides in the Israel situation. It is rare that a VP could have national implications but Shapiro might. AZ and VA have 1.7% Jewish population. MI and MN have 1.2%. NV has 2.6%. WI though has only 0.6%. And of course PA has 3.3%

picking shapiro would definitely not allow harris to "take both sides". a shapiro pick means she co-signs him calling the college protestors similar to the KKK and how he wanted to defund universities that were willing to consider divestment. it symbolizes her attaching herself to Biden's israel/gaza strategy. whether that is worth it or not remains to be seen. but it's definitely a Fyou pick to all the young people that were potentially leaning towards coming back to vote dem. again that calculation may be worth it if they think he sures up the proIsrael crowd but he's definitely not a smooth pick.

I mean it's totally fine to not know that and I'm sure most 2008 conservatives, let alone modern Trumpers wold get it wrong. But the straight up lie about working in finance and understanding the tax code being important to him is just lol.

That's hilarious. The covid thread was full of people pretending to understand basic microbiology and virology, too.

Let's not forget that, Prometheus at the bleeding edge of the ever-expanding economic universe, the same poster has also brought us the epiphanous principle that corporation taxes are in fact operating costs.

so i'm seeing Elon has backed away from his pledge to donate 45 million a month? wonder what the truth to that is.

I meant that she could take a neutral/pro Palestinian/Peace plan position and Shapiro would have his position and both could be happening at the same time and it might go over well with voters on both sides.

She definitely doesn't have to take Shapiro's side in what he is saying. She has the right to do what she wants as President. But I doubt she would put him down or criticize him which would be taken positively by his fans who would hope she would side with him. My guess is if asked about Shapiro's position she would either avoid the question or say something like he is entitled to his viewpoint.

He was never gonna do it and likes to say things that his weird ****ing fans will click the like button for

Like that time he offered to buy Twitter then panicked when Twitter snap called and tried to get out of buying Twitter which he was forced to do and has transformed it into a glorified onlyfans advertising firm cuz he’s business genius
