The 6/8 thing was a reasonable statement. The Ways and Means investigation obtained and released to the public 6 years of tax returns. Later when the Manhattan DA was investigating, Trump's accounting firm handed over 8 years of returns to the DA after the Supreme Court ruled that he didn't have immunity. As far as I'm aware those were never made public though.

i'm still waiting for the person that voted Biden/Harris in the primary that didn't think Harris would take over for Biden if needed. those are the people that these republicans seemingly care so dramatically about. everyone voted for this ticket in the primary.

The IRS is underfunded. Whether more funding will result in better performance or more poor performance is an open question. But, they have collected a ton of money from billionaires in the recent past when they have been able to focus on it.

I am sure there are some repubs who are losing their minds, but at every point throughout history a decent percentage of people are losing their minds (some) for weird and odd reasons. Why should right now be any different?
To be fair to repubs they did ask biden to step down well before when the dem nomination should have actually taken place.
I think dem voters have a serious gripe about how kamala and many other high up dems assured us that biden hadn't lost it and then when it is too late to have a primary all of a sudden biden is gone. Avoiding the primary seems very very intentional. I am guessing the dem power players (whoever that is) want kamala, but were very confident she would fizzle out like last primary season so they had to hide biden's status until after their was time to have a primary.

Everything Trump did post-election with his lies about it being rigged. J6 is part of that mess. He tried to make legitimate votes not count. Fake electors. Pressuring Pence (calling him a pussy, allegedly) to refuse to verify the results. All that utter bullshit. There was no voter fraud that affected the outcome. That has been asked and answered. Repeatedly. (Anyone who thinks there was actually evidence but the courts are corrupted blah blah blah should get out of the USA immediately or stfu.)
If Trump is a man about it and accepts his defeat in 2020 like he should have, we’re not in this mess. But he’s no man. He’s a monster, which is why it was better that the assassin hit his mark than miss.

I think Biden is simultaneously too old for the job and the fixation of his cognitive decline was overblown.
Like yeah, it sucks they told us some white lies and delayed the inevitable a few weeks. Ultimately that should be expected in the political realm. I don't personally have a better candidate than Harris. I've also lambasted the Democrat party for like 9 months now for not building up any alternate candidates for this scenario.
Ultimately I think most Democrats feel like the Democrat Party has been trash for the last decade plus at being proactive. I think a lot of posters on this thread have expressed as much.

Cool name me a billionaire that has ever ran for President before that needed to release their taxes so you could know everything about them who clearly lives a much different life than me/you and every candidate in history prior, only to learn "damn Hillary was just playing politics and there's nothing to see here, he's just like all of us.
