You do realize when she was in those positions she was a hard ass on criminals and only cared about her record. Correct me if I am wrong but did not the California Supreme court finally overrule her on the inmate on death row that she blocked new evidence. Once she was a VP Candidate she was all giddy over using pot and her stance on crime changed. She was for defund the police and donated to bail funds for BLM protesters.

She also was the one who preached I cant keep up with Joe and he is so on top of his game. She is a typical politician who will lie about anything to get elected.

you'll have to find me the claim she "blocked evidence". from what i understand she "objected" and "appealed" a post conviction decision DNA test which she is pretty much required to do as the attorney for the state.

the california drug lab also had an addict working there. the multiple DA offices using that lab probably didn't do enough to recognize the employee was a drug addict. Kamala actually had a solid response and dropped 1000 cases the employee touched.

There is no question she is a better candidate than Biden. Will see how she holds up in press conferences were she has been weak in the past. As for a debate If I was trump I would agree to two debates one which must be on Fox .

yeah that is the same case. it doesn't appear she did anything wrong in that case. she wasnt a lawyer yet when he was convicted. she was a lowly assitant district attorney while he was going through appeals. she was only in the same county from 1990-1998. she wouldn't have even entered his case until 2011 at the absolute earliest it looks like 16 years after he had been convicted. at that point he had already failed one DNA test in 2001 that may have been compromised. so her office probably objected to another one. then when it wasn't her literal job to argue for the state's position she said "hey why dont you give him another DNA test" AND IT CAME BACK GUILTY AGAIN in 2023.

if the cops lied or evidence was planted in 1983 like they are alleging i have no idea how that has anything to do with Harris who was probably 19yrs old at that time.

and granted. it's probably a fine hit piece on her because like they say it takes an order of magnitude more effort to point out the bullshit than to say the bullshit.

But entertaining your comparison for a moment, are you able to show some examples of anyone suggesting that Trump "made [his] career jumps on [his] knees", or anything remotely similar? Or are you actually trying to compare people talking about Trump's sexual assault and rape allegations with your misogyny? That would be...quite something. Or have there been people saying mean things about Trump and his sex life outside of alleged affairs and assaults? If so, and you really think that's comparable to "made her career jumps on her knees", you might be further gone down a dubious path than I thought.

As for Melania, I wouldn't be surprised if there have been some misogynistic things posted about her, and I don't support those. I don't spend a lot of time on posts about the former First Lady, as her role in politics isn't all that significant. But maybe you should be trying to do better rather than saying 'well, they said that about Melania, so I can say this about Harris'.

OK, putting aside all of the obvious problems with this post like the sexism of the distinction of young women as opposed to men, and the implication that it can only be ulterior motives rather than the more common companionship, love, sex, etc., there are a couple of bigger issues. First off, people use relationships to help themselves out politically all the ****ing time. It might be friendships, or doing favours for someone who could help you, or a family member that can connect you with someone, or getting to know the right people in the old boy's club, but none of that gets spoken of in the same way. But even more importantly, your implication appears to be that this was the only way she had advanced in politics, in an effort to discredit any role she played in her own success. It's textbook bullshit misogyny, and your feeble attempts to hand wave it away with irrelevant whataboutisms isn't going to change that.

I'm guessing that 133,000 of those were regarding allegations of criminal behavior. The rest were likely regarding adultery as related to the allegations of the criminal allegations. Of course, that's just speculation on my part.

In terms of progressive leniency vs “tough on crime” she was middle of the road, a very standard DA.

The narrative that she was someone who was overly punitive is being pushed people who support far right DA’s who throw people in jail for a year for loitering and ten for drug possesion etc.

like there are thousands of much more punitive red state DAs and those people talking about how Kamala “locked up black people” is rich.

I myself am a chesa boudin fan and think he is right about almost everything, but 99% of the people portraying her as some “throw away the key-er” are people with much much more sadistic ideas about criminal justice.

I am a fan of Melania Trump and there has been an endless amount of garbage posted about her. She was my fav person in the trump white house excluding 1 or 2 gents kicked out in the first year of the administration.
