2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Yeah, and I think it still works, as long as you don’t get kicked out lol. Might even still be able to log back in if you’re still in the states. Not sure. But once you’re abroad, I guess it’s a different animal.

God damn lol. I maxed out around 175 a few weeks ago and decided that was too many. 75-125 going at once feels like the sweet spot.

Might as well. I have around 80 going on UD right now and continuing to enter slow puppies and the MMG contest. Trying to keep it reasonable.

I think I'm addicted to Maye.
I wanted JJ as my QB3 and was going to draft him a round ahead of ADP, but someone else decided they wanted him 2 rounds ahead of ADP. I would've played a naked Fields, but someone took him in the 13th round. Ended up with Nix and TP was the only DEN receiver left, which I don't hate if he can stay healthy and see the field.

This looks good. One minor thing is your WR core is strong, but I think you waited too long to get WR6.
I think it looks a little bit better if you try to get Bowers or Goedert in round 9, then in round 12 maybe you can get Gabe.

Didn’t have a chance on Bowers. Wanted him . Not a huge fan of Goadart. I like Muth more .
Doubt Bowers is any better than the later options. Raiders hoping to rely on their defense and be a run 1st team. Davonte will get his and have to remember Jakobi is no slouch. He's a good safety valve for whatever trash they have at QB I guess but not bummed or anything walking away from a draft without him unless he really starts lighting up camp.

Are we sure Devonte will get his. He didn't at times last year and threw a temper tantrum. Are the QB's any better this year? I'm only 4 episodes in but watching "Receiver" makes me not want to draft Adams. I usually don't let a Netflix show sway me but what a gross situation being an elite player like him but they can't get you the ball. I think he puts too much pressure on them to do so. It makes them force it when they shouldn't. He may sound happy right now but if they don't feed him early he's gonna start crying very soon.

I like Bowers, but there’s obviously risk. That being said once you miss out on the top 8, there’s a pretty big talent drop off, so I think betting on Bowers to be the elite player his prospect profile says he can be is a good bet to make
The MMG fast drafts seem pretty soft right now. This draft offered some nice value, but I accidentally took Javonte over Goedert in the 10th. I was just focused on RB and missed it. I decided to get creative. One of my few 6 WR teams, but I think it works (if Rashee avoids suspension lol). All of my RB picks were fallers.

I don’t think you gain enough at the qb/rb for it to be worth it to be so bad at wr. Te is pretty meh too

Yeah, definitely want at least one anchor WR. I also wouldn't have bothered with Fields. I suppose it's unique upside, but it's mostly likely just a wasted roster spot.
I like that DK team right above, jimmy. It's my style, especially with the Maye pick haha.
