Yeah, I'd like to see him explain his understanding of this. Sort of a big deal aif you want to talk about undemocratic actions.
There would be many in the running for that title, and perhaps Kamala will be in the mix once she actually is put up for president.
How does this relate to my post?
Nice to have you onboard George
the biden/harris admin secured the release of those two prisoners from russia that the republicans REALLY REALLY cared about a while ago when it was a talking point..
the one dude is still totally a spy though and was definitely in there for a legit reason.
?????
I thought only Trump could do that???
Not big on brevity, are you fella? Not every one of your precious if ephemeral thoughts warrants multiple paragraphs. I know you're capable of summarising your posts very effectively as you've done it for me before by request. If you could automate that feature, I might even start reading them.
I have trouble seeing how a VP could be the most un Democratic nominee ever for presidency being second in line ….
Horsenut, you might have missed this as it appeared in the midst of your learning about delegates and how elections work. I'd like to know your response to it.
the people in her own party, and the democratic voters in general, don't seem to mind too much
I know of one guy who is very unhappy with how things played out and that is predicated on the assumption that they knew Biden was a no go before the primary and pushed him through anyways to hotshot Kamala on the ticket. Which I don't think is an entirely unlikely scenario, so I can get behind some shadiness making the Harris ticket happen and would philosophically be against increasing amounts of corruption
Ilmao!
I think that gives the Dumbocrats credit for more intelligence, planning and execution than they deserve. By a a lot.
If trump win it will be better ?
Just a note for the future: people that say things like "Dumbocrats" shouldn't really be making statements about others' intelligence.
1) Lol
2) Calling state electors who have always 'voted' in accordance with popular vote in their state as 'voters' is technically accurate, but stretching it a bit.
3) Calling the indivual American voter a 'delegate' is also technically accurate, but also a stretch.
4) To rockmans question, I think a fair presumption is that everyone is hired for reasons beyond just merit. Perhaps transparency is something to applaud. For example, if you put out a job posting to everybody, and many apply, but internally you know that you'll only hire a woman, or only hire a black person, then you've wasted the time of everyone else applying. You also weren't necessarily truthful in the job posting/requirements.
Whereas is you make a posting and say this is only available to women, it is more transparent and you save time of others. Perhaps that is the better approach.
Who is this they you are referring to and where do they get their power to do all this?
Agreed. Libtard is the preferred term.
Nobody did this. They called them "electors", or "delegates". The words you needed explained, by your own admission, like you were 5.

I suggest in future you request us to "ELI3" as 5 didn't seem to cut it.
meh
as with most things, you can take the everything that went down at face value
Biden was the incumbent and was pushed through because of that. There was a growing concern about his age, or how his age would play out, which came to a head during the debate. Dems decided that they didn't think he could win so they started to look for alternatives. He was eventually persuaded to drop out, which he did. Logical replacement was the acting VP. Not much more than that, really.
Makes a good story that there was some nefarious goings on behind the scene though..
Ok then. Shitlibs.
I'll take libtard over maga any day of the week, ainec.
I floated this theory not too long ago, but it didn't gain any traction.
I'd assume the Democratic "leadership". Not sure who that is. The Obama's?
Ultimately the way Biggerboat described it is closest to my opinion on the subject, but its fun to think about a little conspiracy
Cool. Thoughts on 4) which was the actual question you wanted the response to?
Yes you're right regarding the second scenario. If Biden was elected that in all likelihood he was going to pass the presidency to her in any event which would have made her ascension to the top job even more undemocratic than what it is now.
