2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Pretty happy with this one despite getting sniped on Mahomes the one time I draft Kelce, and all 3 of my target QB3's (Fields, Jones, and JJ) getting drafted 3+ rounds ahead of their ADP.
QB - Burrow, Baker
RB - JT, Najee, Javonte, Lloyd, Roschon, Laube
WR - JJ, Flowers, Higgins, Godwin, Wandale, Burton, Mcmilan, Mingo
TE - Kelce, Shultz, Gesicki
Sounds like Aiyuk to Pats or Browns . Depends where he wants to go . Should be done in a day or so .
Swapping Amari for Aiyuk seems pretty good for fantasy.
Swapping Bourne for Aiyuk seems bad for my Polk and Baker bags.
Checked my Aiyuk builds
1 with Bourne and Purdy/Kittle. So a swap there wouldn't be bad.
2 with Maye
1 with Watson/Njoku + Malik
1 with Maye and Purdy, but this'll leave Purdy naked.
The rest have Aiyuk unstacked so those should be fine.
My only regret is not having another pass catcher for Stafford. Got sniped on Robinson. Should I have a taken a shot at Tutu, Higbee, or Colby?

Lol I could not believe I was able to get London and Nico there. The room was RB happy in the 2nd and early third, plus Kelce was pulled up.
Also couldn't believe a DK room let me get Stroud 15 spots past ADP. Thought for sure the 11 spot was going to take Stroud, but I guess he liked Kyler more.
This was in the $3 milly play action.
Fired another one and Pickens fell to 5.11. And I was in the 12 spot.
I've got Kelce/Hollywood/Pickens/Warren/Muth and this ******* drafts Fields 4 rounds ahead of ADP like a ****ing twat.
Fields is steaming hard lol. 12th round is the highest I've seen so far.

Well even though I think Russ is washed, seemed like a waste not to take him so late given the stack.

Russ took 1st team reps today and is technically listed as the starter on the first depth chart.
That's certainly the thesis. Still a tough situation to read, especially for an org like the Steelers who are good at staying in the playoff race until the last week of the regular season.
But even if Russ is starting in w17, what's the upside?
I was in a bunch of UD slows where I had the chance to add some more round 17 and 18 Fields, but I don't think I'll be chasing him up the board. And certainly not into round 12. Round 15, maybe into the 14, feels like the line without any further concrete information.
He started in rounds 7/8 to start the offseason.
I hope UD drops a new contest by the end of the week. We're approaching the point of any slow draft entered being affected by the clock speed ups before it's over.
I'm literally gonna just have to draft him before the 10th round it seems.
I always feel like I'm okay with not getting who I want as long as I do correlate the players I got.

Fields will be the hot thing for a few more days and then he will come right back down when people realize that Russ is still gonna be the starter. I think the Steelers want Russ to win the job. I have the feeling they want to keep Fields on the down low so they can sign him to a cheaper contract next year. If I was a Steeler fan I'd want Fields in there for better or worse. It's just a matter of time before Russ wears his welcome out. It's hard to believe Fields won't be playing at all this year. If I wait on QB I'll definitely try to get Fields as my number three to inject some upside into the room. I usually get my QB's early though so I have very few shares of Fields right now.
