her next fight is scheduled for 8:06am PST tomorrow. like 10.5ish hours from now

Are you thinking VP announcement?

idk much about tim walz. I know he's a democrat. so if he's someone who is actually fighting for working class people of the world, he'd be the first Democrat this century to do that.

my guess is he's somewhat left of the dem center, which isn't saying much. and it seems to me, just being even slightly left is causing huge upswell in support. just imagine if they had someone who actually fought for working class people

I think even trump's appeal is that he is supposedly fighting for working class people. trump's base is made up of working class people.

I mean the working class is so gigantic, that everyone's base has to be made up of working class people. it's like 95% of us

btw, this lib in my poker game, absurdly wealthy, he said "i'd rather have a fascist govt than a socialist one"

he got mad when I said that Venezuelan election was more legit than American elections

Seems doubtful fwiw.

Kamala let's us knock out a lot of firsts as president at the same time so that's nice.

I really don't know how legit the venezuelan election was, but I know the USA ones are a joke. not necessarily that there is voter fraud, but that there is no democracy. candidate who takes the most bribes wins. and only corrupt candidates can even get on the ballot

That's reasonable.

RE Venezuela it seems pretty doubtful that Maduro would win in a fair election. I've met dozens of Venezuelans at this point and no one supports him.

ah I see. I had just kind of assumed that USA(and everyone) were trying to overthrow venezuelan govt, since it's what they do.

Well that's true too.

Maduro still definitely does have some support and perhaps there are some sampling issues given that almost all Venezuelans I've met are those who emigrated -- but among them they come from all stratas of society and the rich never supported him and the poor no longer seem to.

I read that he was actually a factory worker and then went to school to become a public school teacher.

I hear that one of his accomplishments as governor was to institute publicly paid lunch for all students.

A Venezuelan election is about one llama hair away from auguring via the entrails of sacrificial animals. There's definitely an outcome, but it's a matter of how you look at it.

ok sure, but he's also a member of a party that openly colludes to kill democracy, and supports genocide, and is fine with destroying the climate/planet

sounds more democratic than American elections, and a lot less annoying(unless you're the sacrificial animal)

Y'all really are scared of Walz. You know the VP pick doesn't really matter all that much, right?

I'm enjoying this

If enough people say some narrative does it become true?

one of the "terrifying" things about Obama was his hope and change bullshit, how he completely deceived billions of people, and they fell for his bullshit.

that's arguably the biggest thing keeping us from having a democracy

I just hope politics wasn't involved in Ben and Jennifer's divorce. The country is being torn apart!

lol, mark deleted his post after I replied to it.

You either need an opinionated person and a punching bag or two reasonable people.

if walz was for real, he'd be non stop talking about his policies. but i've only heard him talking about "how weird Republicans are"

Lol policies Walz is there for his awesome grampa vibes to balance out the scary colored lady.

I think "lol policies" is the dem platform

That was going to be true no matter who she picked, so there's no point in trying to please you with her selection.

by eyebooger P

exactly. she was never going to pick anyone who would actually fight for the people. that's the whole problem with the Democratic party. that's why Malcolm x said you should support them.

but now people are believing she actually did pick someone worthy of support. but he's pro genocide, anti democracy, and willing to destroy the climate

If you are referring to me, I deleted nothing.
