one of the "terrifying" things about Obama was his hope and change bullshit, how he completely deceived billions of people, and they fell for his bullshit.

that's arguably the biggest thing keeping us from having a democracy

Obama instituted nationally subsidized health insurance and mobile connectivity for millions of people who would not otherwise have access to those things.

He droned villagers in Afghanistan and he let predatory banking institutions skate for wrecking the US economy, but to suggest that he was completely FOS is totally out of touch with reality and dripping with armchair privilege.

Lol policies Walz is there for his awesome grampa vibes to balance out the scary colored lady.

whynotboth?

Hey now, let's not get crazy here. It's well known that filthy doesn't own any armchairs.

I hear that one of his accomplishments as governor was to institute publicly paid lunch for all students.

In the sense that he signed his name to a bill that was passed by the state legislature after the Dems flipped the senate to control both houses, yes, yes he did. And I'd asterisk all, but that's a technicality.

If anyone wants a concise synopsis of why this country is going to hell in a handbasket, try to read all the way through the program FAQ.

hmmm.... maybe you're right. skipping out on his very first global climate meeting after campaigning on saving the climate, dooming us all to burning hell... but we did get some obamaphones, and some really shitty healthcare coverage. and another 10 years of war.

or were you agreeing with me? I can't tell

lmfao. I did a spit take

Harris running away from her own record faster than an Olympic sprinter.

I would say a better comparison would be to an Australian Olympic break dancer

Regardless of the merits of the arguments presented in this article, I'm a big fan of the term "neotoddlerism".

Harris running away from her own record faster than an Olympic sprinter.

This is just fascinating to watch. It's happening on so many issues.

She's on record a ton over the last four years touting criminal justice reforms, supporting abolition of cash bail, etc etc, and yet her commercials are all Kamala was a cop and a tough ass prosecutor.

On the economy, we'll fix things day one ... uh, you have this thing called "bidenomics" that caused many of those issues you say you're going to fix.

The border.

Now she's trying to win back tipped employees by flipping on taxation of tips and adopting the Trump proposal to exempt them.

It's breathtaking.

She's probably going to put out a round of very pro-Israel ads soon to try and shore up that constituency. While still maintaining pro-Hamas policies like trying to force Israel into a settlement and withholding weapons.

I don't think a dem can put out pro Israel ads right now

She may do it via the media or through PACs/other surrogates, but she absolutely will.

She wants it both ways, because Jews are an important dem constituency and last time I checked about half were still planning to vote Dem. Sure, she (and especially her staff) are pro-Hamas, but her people seem to think that voters are idiots and will believe whatever they're told (that they want to hear).

They may well be proven correct.

The difference between supporting Israel and Supporting Hamas in Washington DC is whether Israel gets $4 billion or only $3.5 billion.

Jews don't necessarily support Israel's actions.

Israelis themselves largely don't.

Like a lot of people in countries. But people love the benefits!?!?

Jews are probably more likely to vote based solely on a politicians views on Israel Palestine than some vaguely liberalish Americans. What are they gonna do now for trump?

everyone has their buttons and the campaigns are all about pushing them

Actually I'm pretty sure everyone agrees it's not worth the benefits. They differ on how to escape.

Most Jews I know are horrified and ashamed of the way the Israeli government is responding to the hostage attack.

The Iran strike was a bold move, too.

I think Trump would need less convincing than Kamala to follow them into regional war.

Gotta second this comment. My Jewish partner and her family are vehemently against what Israel is doing right now. Absurdly first level thinking to believe that Jewish = support of Israel. Perhaps the Jewish people I know and love just happen to have a conscience/set of morals?

Would any of these people vote for Trump or Kamala only based on their Israel Palestine views?

Maybe I should have said pro Israel Jewish people in my obviously conjectural statement.

For the people I know in particular, I don't think there's a single thing that could ever get them to vote for Trump. Definitely not my partner. It would have to be to the point where the hypothetical is meaningless, because trump wouldn't be the same person. Complete 180 on abortion, implementing universal healthcare and stopping all support of Israel might get it close, but again, it's not possible that Trump would do those things so not really meaningful imo

all you have to do is make trump a dem and the lesser of two evils, and Dems will be falling all over themselves to vote for him

People will vote for the better candidate. More filthy hot takes at 7.

by pwnsall P

Would any pro Israel Jewish people people vote for Trump or Kamala only based on their Israel Palestine views?

Is "probably at least one" sufficient, or is this a question about dual loyalty more generally? :p
