2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.

But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.

Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.

What do we like and not like?

Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

Thanks!

This is my first Flock 4. Pick 6

I thought I had a bunch of nice QB outs and whiffed on almost all of them. I should have reached for Caleb. He looked really good this weekend. I ended up going with just two QB's. I'm gonna pretend Watson gets back to his top five form. I hate the week 17 game in Cleveland though. I need to stop taking Waddle. It's gonna be freezing during the playoffs.

My RB's are sketch after Pollard so I went with

I try not to care about weather, since it’s impossible to predict. Could also be 50 degrees and sunny that day. Browns/Jets provided a lot of really good scores for w17 last year.

I do want more Caleb. He looked great. That RB room has a lot of outs. I’ve been mixing in Prince. CEH vibes get worse by the day. Vidal is really sketchy right now. I might be done with my 10%.

Rice flying up the board right now.

Overall, this team has paths.

Alrighty, just downloaded the new Madden and simmed the upcoming season. These were the top 10 in Passing, Rushing, and Receiving TDs

Dak
Rodgers
Trevor
Mahomes
Allen
Hurts
Purdy
Goff
Stroud
Lamar

Moss
Walker
CMC
Henry
Mixon
Pacheco
Chubb
Breece
Conner
Zeke

ARSB
Lockett
Kupp
Aiyuk
Devonta
Kincaid
Kelce
Reek
Lamb
Addison

Honorable mentions to Maye, Kyren, and Olave

A few interesting names, but also a lot of names you’d expect.

Yeah the only name that sticks out immediately is Lockett.

Now to play a game as the Bears

Gibbs pick 17 in my second Flock.

Moss at the top was interesting too, but it’s in the range.

Would also be surprised if Rodgers is that high.

Gibbs pick 17 in my second Flock.

Saw a BBM posted to X with him at 20. Then the guy ****ed it up by taking Monty at 68.

Think he could have done much better taking advantage of a spot that might not be available for long.

And even if Gibbs does become a 2/3 turn pick for the rest of draft season (doubt he falls much further), 2/3rds of the contest has been with Gibbs at 1/2 turn.

Going to get all 3 bullets in for Flock? I see it’s 75% already haha.

Now I’ve seen a JJ, Gibbs, Nabers BBM start from 1.04.

Yep! I'm done.

Gibbs pick 18 in my third.

There are some very interesting roster configurations in this contest. A lot of 3 QB builds which makes sense with the 1/12, 1/2, 1/2 format.

I just got Gibbs pick 20 in my last 3 dollar on dk .

Griddy is in shambles lmao

Not like this! Lol

Directionally, he will probably still argue he was accurate.

Just another example of, it doesn’t matter how much confidence you might have in a player or situation, injury variance strikes again.

With that said, Claypool was ****ed either way.

I have 1.4% Claypool. How did that happen?

The good news is he can still reach an injury settlement with the Bills and become a free agent. It's just a toe injury. This isn't over yet.

Fuuuuccckkkk. Not Tyrone Tracy. Non contract injury on a kickoff return, and they're bringing out the cart plus using an air cast. That one is over.

13% Singletary
5% Tracy
2% Gray

Yeah, my stand isn't super heavy, but he was one of my highest drafted in the late rounds. 10% Tracy, 12% Singletary, and maybe have drafted Gray once or twice.

Speaking of late round RBs

What's your take on Sanders? I like him if Brooks takes longer to be ready and Chuba perhaps falls back to earth.

He's routinely going in the last round or not at all, and I think he has top 20 upside if given the opportunities.

But I've also read rumors about him being traded.

He was one of my top RB exposures in the pre-draft contests since he was going in round 16+, and that's from someone who doesn't like Sanders at all. I have 15% Sanders and 12% Chuba. I was bullish on Canales. I did not expect the Panthers to invest in a RB given all of the roster needs, especially the top RB in the draft. Also have 15% Brooks.

With that said, I don't think I've drafted Sanders once post draft. I doubt he gets traded, especially with his cap hit being one of the highest in the league this season (lol Panthers). Even if he is traded to somewhere like Dallas, he'd still be competing with Zeke and Dowdle.

He's not the worst late round pick, but I think he needs quite a bit to go his way to provide any value. And you could be right if Brooks takes longer or Canales makes it a true split between Chuba and Sanders early season, he might give you an early week. But I don't think he's a good late season bet.

UD dropped some new ones.

$100 big eliminator. Whoever came up with this structure is a sicko. The finals is heads up with $50k to first and $20k to second.

$3 mini schnauzer 6 with fast only 15/30 second clocks.

$3 mini schnauzer 7 with slow only.

Jj mccarthy knee surgery. No clue how long he is out for .

I see the slow draft but I don't see the fast draft. Maybe it's filled already.

Hi guys,

Hope you all crushing your best ball related drafts. Would it make any sense to separate out that stuff from the traditional snake draft content so we can get more conversation going on particular players? I know this thread has always been my go to for good content on player discussion in past years. Heels are you still in regular fantasy leagues at all?

No worries if I am too old school and everyone prefers the current set up of the forum.

Saw a comment on X that someone spoke to support and apparently UD made it for the wrong slate and they're redoing it. It should be back up soon. This comment was 17 minutes ago.

ETA: Hope's post that I just came across. They accidentally posted to the sprint season.
