2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

For sure, we'll see how it goes haha. I have something like 6% of Jeudy, mostly on Mia bring backs or stacked with Deshaun. His price of WR59 on UD seems reasonable.

But we see many and countless instances a guy goes wr59 finishes wr79 and the Wr80 goes in the WR50s at the end of the season. I believe it’s our job to find those guys that’s obscure or have lower profiles .. just my opinion
I’m also drafting a bunch of Polk, AD Mitchell, Legette, etc.
I love legette Ad Mitchell is fine and Polk I like a lot too .. I also like sleepers on the browns such as jamari thrash I believe will be a name you hear about maybe after week 10-12ish range . Everyone including me likes the usually suspects but i also just like digging for deep sleepers

Change of scenery matters.
Mostert went from a guy that was consistently a RB100+ in SF to being a top 10 RB in MIA.
Diggs didn't exactly suck in MIN, but his fantasy value skyrocketed in BUF.
Same with AJB going from TEN to PHI.

Deep sleepers are probably better for redraft/dynasty than best ball. There is a certain element to low owned guys, but Jamari Thrash could also easily be a 0.

Context matters more importantly mostert was stuck in a time share but was inconsistent due to injuries every time he played he popped more than not. DIGGS AND AJB doesn’t belong in the same book as Jerry jeudy as far as profiles concerned lol

Thoughts on the squad? It feels like (for a 10 teamer) my RBs suck, my QB & TE are slightly below avg and my WRs aren't enough to make up for those short falls despite being able to start 5 WRs.

What's the word on Legette from Panthers camp? I know he's been hurt but has he flashed at all?
Honestly, it's been pretty quiet lol. Saw a few highlights near the beginning of camp, but with the injury, not much since. He played in the last preseason game, but only received 1 target.
Doubt I want to own him in managed, but he seems like a good best ball pick, given they'll try a lot of different things to get the ball in his hands. He's been cheap too. Started out in the 130s and is down to the 150s/160s. Not many players with his upside going in that range, but he could also just completely dud out.
Canales has a lot of experience working with WRs specifically, so I'm optimistic he'll figure out how to use Legette.

For a keeper league that's kind of rough as I'm assuming a few teams are going to be stacked. What's the penalty for keepers? Sometimes in keeper leagues you just need to punt a season and refill the coffers with young talent but RB was weak this year so not much you could do.

I predict that Rico Dowdle will go down as the "What were we thinking" player of the year. I mean this in a not good way. I have a disgusting 13% because I'm a sheep and I listened to the YouTube guy's.
Dalvin Cook visiting is great news for Dowdle and Zeke.
