2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

I'm very bullish on Tyrone Tracy
I saw Fields as a luxury pick and already had a stacking partner. I love him on teams that might need a little upside juice at QB.

I haven't ended up with much Engram and never really seem to get him to come back to my draft spot when he's falling. But after watching him catch 2 TDs in that last preseason game, I got a little worried about regression going in his favor. I'm very interested to see this Jags offense in action.
It makes sense that the hard core dudes are getting these out of the way so they can get back to finishing up BBM. I've done three but I'll probably wait as well.
Team 1) Solid team. The TE's are sketch but I love the upside of Sinnot and Juwan. Getting Ekeler and Brown to stack with Jayden is sneaky good.
Team 2) I think getting a solid back up to Mahomes is a micro edge. I'm sure there are a lot of Mahomes teams that waited until very lat
For sure. I always try to let the sharps knock out these low max entry contests before I hop in. They care more about time management and getting down the volume than room edges.
Agreed on both analysis. They're solid teams. I'm just hard on myself after grinding all summer haha. Things feel pretty stale at this point. I'm ready for the season to begin.

Taylor Swift could be who you need in w17.
This is a fun team. 3 QB stacks is such a +ev end of season proposition, that when you have a luxury pick, adding another stacked QB is probably the most optimal way to use it. Especially one with Fields's upside.
Brooks continues to fall into the 10th round. I still think he's a good pick, but I've wavered a little bit. I love the profile and upside, but I still worry about the Panthers simply not giving him a full workload, even at the end of season, because what's the point? I've been pretty comfy holding at my 11% and not really drafting much more unless he falls a decent amount.
But maybe we surprise and hang in the division race with some end of season incentive to try to win.
I need to be more comfortable with 2 TE rooms like LaPorta and Likely.

I wonder if after the BBM fills if other drafts will get tougher.

I'm concerned that she is too thin and will probably get hurt. I did hear that the Chiefs might use a play she drew up.

He's the same guy competing for touches with CEH and Carson Steele. There is the chance that he is the passing back/2 minute offense guy. He's on the Chiefs. He's capable of being a three down back if needed so he has some contingency upside. He's going late in drafts so the investment is small. He's also an additional guy you can add to your Mahomes stacks. He's probably not gonna be a league winner. He is a guy that could hit your line during bye weeks. He should have some stand alone value. We are also gambling on the unknown of the situation.
I don't think we are in love with him we just think he's cute.
McKinnon had 2 top 15 scoring weeks last season. He had 3 top 6 scoring weeks the prior season, including two RB1 weeks.
Perine is taken among the likes of Bigsby, Justice Hill, Shipley, Akers, Pierce, Roschon, etc. And he's competing against CEH and UDFA Carson Steele for snaps. I think he's a more than fine late best ball pick now that all of the quality contingent guys have been pulled up.
I doubt I'll care to roster him in managed, but if Pacheco goes down, it's also hard not to see Perine as a 60%+ snap guy. The Chiefs are going to trust him with his experience. They're already talking about hoping Perine is out there w1.
