Not committing to an actual position, maintaining all accusations while insisting it is probably still a joke has been the MAGA party trick for 8 years.
It is a bit stale by now.
Political discussion is rarely the most useful of exercises, but it would be nice if you guys did not always have to debate as if your argument is the semantic embodiment of Schrödinger's cat.
Can you read?
Are you one of those guys that thinks the cia is communist too?
trump re-upped nafta--I hear that makes someone a commie too 😀
Communist, no. U?
Do you think they would allow one to waltz right into the oval office?
If they control the communist, yes, that would be ideal for them. Anyone they can control, regardless of that person's views, is their north star.
Did you know it originally stood for "Communist Infiltrators Alliance" before they retconned it?
Great movie .
That how you differentiate ideologue or extremist .
It’s binary .
Black or white .
Evil or good .
Lesser evil for them isn’t something better then full evil .
If it’s not perfect it’s garbage .
Pragmatism equal failure for them .
Nice yap dude. No argument being presented though except for moralizing. You want to replace a system that has reduced global poverty, war, abuse of women, etc, with a system that has caused mass famine and economic failure. But you're the one that opposes human misery, right?
I prefer cocaine import agency. Takes me back to my teen years 😀
Christians in Action is pretty apt though too.
i for one enjoyed the lols of the komrade kamala post
This is really confusing. Tell me more.
If Jesus was a hyper-egalitarian cult leader, how did Marxism co-opt Christianity by latching onto what Christianity was always meant to be?
I'm not Christian, so correct if I'm wrong, but Jesus was also a pacifist, no? Wouldn't he reject Lenin's use of violence toward political ends? Are there egalitarian Christians out there to some significant degree supporting the use of violence toward political ends?
Or are you talking in the abstract "all state action is violence" sense?
i thought i might have been using co-opt wrongly but looks like i didn't (we have cooptare in italian but sometimes there are false friends).
Co-opting means this
gerund or present participle: co-opting
1) appoint to membership of a committee or other body by invitation of the existing members.
"the committee may co-opt additional members for special purposes"
2) divert to or use in a role different from the usual or original one.
"social scientists were co-opted to work with the development agencies"
3) adopt (an idea or policy) for one's own use.
"the green parties have had most of their ideas co-opted by bigger parties
You thought i meant 2). I Meant 3).
Marxism is the continuation of christianity by other means, is my claim. And given we spent 1500+ years to get rid of the horrific, unprecedently bad influences of christianity on our society, and we lost more than a millennia of progress because of it (romans were at 1400 europe levels more or less), i really had hoped we were done for good fighting obscene totalitarian ideologies, but marxism came.
Unlike many conservatives (which i am not), i don't identify european success as a christian success story, i correctly identify european successes as the moments in time we finally destroyed the shackles of christianity and we started to fly again (all science comes out of a rejection of christianity for example).
As for christianity being pacifist well i mean, not sure what i have to tell you about christianity and widespread systematic use of violence in history, i think you know all about it.
That's basically how all of the posts here should be read.
True. Perhaps some more so than others.
Christ was a pacifist. Christianity is pacifist. People are not.
But thanks for clarifying. I see what you're saying.
christianity is a set of beliefs (that changed in time a lot) that don't exist in a vacuum, rather only exist as they are lived in real life by believers (same as marxism).
When the head of christianity calls for holy war, and believers act on it, you cannot claim christianity is pacifist.
The head of Christianity is god.
God called for a holy war? Or a human said God told them ?
I think there are like 3 of the ****ers, but don't quote me on that.
They are all god
The father , the son and the Holy Ghost
The Catholics believe only the pope and priests speak to god.
lol Catholics. They also believe they eat the body of Christ and drink his blood. Disgusting
Christianity follows the teachings and examples of Jesus and the New Testament. Any deviation from this isn't Christian, whether it's fighting egalitarian policy or sympathizing with homosexuality. This is made crystal clear toward the end of Revelations:
"If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."
Be careful how you use the term Communist... because what is often labeled as 'Communist', under a strict definition, is in actuality nothing more than 'Socialism'.
Which of the two is worse... I leave that up to each individual to decide. A stifling forced economic slavery with the illusion of freedom, or a forced servitude to a single master with no class between the servant and the master.
There’s lots of freedom in the US. It’s not the easiest to get, but we have it
