2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.

But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.

Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.

What do we like and not like?

Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

Seems solid. I take a different approach to 0rb builds, but this can definitely work out

Don’t worry, everyone. Kyle’s hammy is fine.

PPR took Hall at pick 7 but do I even have a usable RB2?

Javonte, Moss, Dobbins, Corum, Zeke, McLaughlin

That’s not bad at all . I think you have 4 other usable guys in Javonte moss dobbins and Zeke

That’s a fun RB room.

0.5ppr 12t league with $1000 FAAB

Start: 1QB/2RB/2WR/TE/FLEX

I hate spending money on streaming QBs and TEs, so I went head first on Kelce in the earlier 3rd and Lamar in the late 4th.

How'd I do?

QB: Lamar, Geno
RB: Walker, Moss, Zeke, Charbonnet, Allgeier, Irving
WR: Tyreek, Davante, Keenan, Reed, Coleman
TE: Kelce

10 man PPR QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, Flex, TE, Def, K, 6th pick:

1. ARSB
2. Gibbs (Barkley was the other choice, he tanked for me last year so...)
3. Adams
4. Waddle
5. Kamara
6. McLaurin (Pittman was on the board forever and of course gets sniped the pick before)
7. Burrow
8. Higgins (A stack, but I guess it can't be a stack if Tee is always riding the bench)
9. Keenan (Javonta Williams sniped the pick before)
10. Warren
11. NJoku
12. Cincinnati
13. McPherson
14. Trey Benson

Barkley should go off this year and Pittman making 135 grabs.

Haha

That's explains that. I was also in a draft with Liam and he was doing nutty things but also auto drafting I later found out.

Woat draft I’ve ever seen in my league

Here’s how mine went with a huge starting auction $ advantage. It wasn’t perfect and I missed on some of my goals, but I think it’s still good

10tm .5ppr auction ($200 auction, I started w $275)

Qb - Hurts ($28)
Rb - Achane ($40 end of a tier for me)
Rb - Walker ($20 another end of tier)
Wr - Chase ($35 keeper)
Wr - Puka ($41)
Te - McBride ($20)
Flex - London ($33)
Flex - Collins ($29)
K - Moody ($1)
DST - Sea ($1)
Bench - Rashee Rice ($1 keeper)
Bench - Flowers ($15)
Bench - AD Mitchell ($1)
Bench - Pollard ($6)
Bench - Spears ($2)
Bench - Benson ($1)
Bench - Vidal ($1)

I don't see you losing many games, if any. Absolutely stacked.

Last two drafts of the year:

10 team non ppr 2/2/1 from the 2 spot

Hurts/Caleb
CMC/Achane/Javonte/Brooks/Allgeier
Collins/DJM/D Smith/Worthy/BTJ
Kincaid/Ferguson

10 team ppr 2/2/1 auction with $300 budget where we can keep 3 players for max 3 years

Richardson ($2 keeper)
Gibbs($48 keeper), Kyren ($10 keeper), Hubbard ($1), Charbonnet ($1), Corum ($1)
AJB ($61), Collins ($40), London ($44), Rice ($39), Nabers ($47), BTJ ($1)
Bowers ($1), Kmet ($1)

Olave went for $21 and Mahomes for $53 considering the earlier discussion, but it was the only thing that went as expected. Usually top guys go for well over $100, but this time only CMC went for $120 so a lot of people had money towards the end so we ended up with bidding wars and because Nabers was the only good wr remaining and as I don't have him anywhere and I'm a Giants fan I emptied the clip on him lol. Bowers better amount to anything or I'll need to trade somebody for a TE.

I picked up deshaun Watson off waivers. I now have 3 QBs lol... my QBs suck, and Watson has a chance to go off

last time he was healthy he was a top 5 QB, right? and supposedly he's healthy now, so worth a shot.

I think the concern is that his shoulders done, but yeah it’s managed so you’ll be able to see week1 and make a decision

I hate that I have 8% of Deshaun in best ball lol.

But he was too cheap and easy to stack with Njoku and Jeudy.

I thought he was way too cheap as well, but somehow only ended up at 5% and only 2% in bbm

I was about to make a concerted effort to get him when the shoulder concerns popped back up, so got a little lucky

I got zero percent Watson, jeudy, or njoku I was very bearish on their pass game

Yeah, I wish I could have been completely out. But for their price, it was tough to fade.

1. Will likely be in the top 5 in the league in offensive plays run.

2. Have continued to indicate and make moves that they want to be a passing offense.

3. Njoku smashed the second half of last season and has great weekly upside. He's who I played it most through since I viewed him as the end of the potential elite TE line.

4. Jameis as the hail mary backup.

11% Njoku
8% Watson
7% Jeudy
6% Foreman - Mostly drafted in May, June, and early July.
6% Amari
5% Ford
2% Chubb
2% Moore

I probably have the most Browns

17% Jeudy
15% Watson
14% Chubb
12% Njoku
4% Moore
4% Ford
3% Foreman
2% Thrash

Do you think you'd have similar percentages if they weren't the Mia w17 matchup?

Maybe similar only because of Watson's price and Jeudy/Njoku being easy stacking partners.

I only recently started increasing my Chubb exposure over the last month or so.

I somehow have 10% Jeudy and 3-5% of the rest. Didn’t realize I was overweight Jeudy

It’s trade season. 😀 A guy expressed interest in some RBs after leaving the draft without anyone that’s even No 1 on his own team (Mostert, Warren, Spears). What do you guys think about an offer of Chase, LaPorta, Monty and JaVonte for AJB, Nacua, Tee and Njoku? PPR
