2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.
Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

Welp I guess T-Law was priced fairly after all.
Arthur Smith > Shane Waldron
Waldron is such a button clicking donkey.
At least Arthur has intention, even if we don’t agree with it.
It just made zero sense to retain Eberflus. Same with Dallas and McCarthy lol.
Idk Eberflus has his faults (apparently uses hopium to determine challenges), but he’s a defensive coach and the defense is good
I think it’s fair to question his choice in offensive coordinators bc the last 2 have been horrible
Samaje Perine LeaGuE WiNnER!
Need 12 .5ppr pts from Bijan + Pitts to survive in guillotine. I’m fully ready for 9 from Bijan and 2 from Pitts for the loss
Pacheco out for "weeks" with a fractured fibula, per reports.
contemplating proposing this trade in a PPR league, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Flex
i move
LAC D/ST
Hubbard
Waddle
Christian Kirk
i receive
PIT D/ST
Jacobs
Flowers
Dotson (could also ask for JSN in this slot)

the rest of my skill players right now:
Bijan
David Montgomery
Deebo
MH Jr.
Ty Chandler
Corum
Bucky Irving
Demarcus Robinson
donkey question but was is a 'league winner'
simply a player who can put up a monster number on any given week?
I highly doubt this gets accepted, but you can try.
I think Jacobs and Flowers are the two best fantasy players in the deal. Waddle is the only player of value you're giving up. Swapping Dotson to JSN would make it even less likely to be accepted.
Players that were acquired for way cheaper relative to the production they're giving you. I.e. Williams being picked outside of the top 100 in most leagues, Mason being picked up off of the waiver wire or a late round pick in deeper leagues, etc.
And guys like Breece, CeeDee, JJ, etc. can be league winners in the sense that they are very valuable to the success of your team, but you assumed that when you picked them in the first round.
thx heels
both make sense
Alrighty giving it a go starting with tonight's ATL/PHI game.
Running 363 entries (55 on DK and 308 on FD)
Total invested - $77.50
Total profit - TBD
You would be getting the upgrade at every spot, especially if you swap in JSN. Only debatable one is waddle/flowers but given the QB situation there I would prefer flowers
Who do we like as a better priority pickup with Pacheco out? Steele was getting the ball in the 4th quarter but most people like Perine. I think Perine in ppr but maybe Steele in non ppr. Steele is probably getting the ball at the goaline
I think the answer is probably just boosting the value of Mahomes, Rice, Worthy, and Kelce even more.
But I'd rather have the receiving back than the rushing back in that offense. In theory, Steele gets goal line work, but they are so damn gimmicky. Andy would rather throw to an o lineman than hand it off at the 1 lol.
I wouldn't be surprised if Perine and Steele are low upside starts and doubt I'll target either. Pacheco had 42 opportunities through 2 weeks and didn't crack the top 12 RBs in either week.
👍
i let 'er rip. maybe she falls for it and accepts
i'd lean Perine. i know in CIN we relied heavily on his pass catching skill set and he was valuable on 3rd down passing situations for his ability to block/pick up a blitzing defender
That's what I thought. Doesn't look so good now.
Pacheco was a horrific third round pick in best ball.
The answer might be Leonard Fournette.
Haha true
Acquire Brooks and Diontae Johnson. Once the coach switches to Dalton, they'll be a lot better. Unless Canales wants to see his team quit on him, the switch will come sooner than later.
Maybe they bring back Kareem
Damn bro, you been hiding the fact that you're a Panthers insider? Haha
At least the content creator hive mind mostly had that correct haha.
I wanted to move him and got interest a few weeks before the season but got greedy. I am not a good dynasty player. *Edit But it's still fun no matter what in a way that redraft never will be.
