Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

what I find is that people only keep records when they're happy with the number but then when they're no longer on a heater or they go through a downswing they stop keeping track and/or after a whilethey wipe their records and "start fresh".
That's why you get people saying they can easily make $30/hour in 1/3 and yet somehow they're always broke.
He needs a 2nd thread. Impossible to talk about anyone else as comments are drowned out a few hours later with the same eld comment over and over
I'm not hating, just think it would be better to give him his own thread at this point
People used to say the same thing about Trooper, saying we needed a Trooper containment thread. But people wanted to talk about Trooper every day multiple times a day, so if that happened the Trooper thread would be the main thread and the thread about other vloggers would die.
There was a time when talk about Trooper was banned and people still talked about him more than anyone else.
I don’t think El Diesel is more interesting than other vloggers. He doesn’t talk much about hands or sessions and doesn’t give results after a session. Most of the talk about him makes me less likely to watch his videos.

I used to hear people say they could make that amount in a 4-8 limit game. Obviously that was bs.
I remember Brad Owen in a video saying he lied to himself about his own results in the past (before he started making videos). If Brad did it, even though it only hurt himself, I don’t see why others wouldn’t.
What do you think we would talk about in this thread if we forgot all those classics? lol
If you don't believe $30/hr at $1/$3 is achievable you've never played in Texas. I'll be happy to tell you which rooms to play in where you would actually be disappointed to only make $30/hr.

I think pman is quite possibly the worst poker player in all of $1/3 land when you look at his graphs.
Although he likely played alot of $2/5 as well as we know he'a a degen and has 0 bankroll management.
It's quite impressive how he acted like he was a small winner at the game and studying and improving while getting his family and friends and random people to stake him when his results show he's a bottom 1% player in the player pool.
I rewatched his last video. Those graphs! Both live and online just go down the entire time. Never any kind of upward trends.
Wish we could track down his coaches and have them do an AMA.
Blue Poker states he will rise with military like precision at 4 am everyday to make $250 per day in Uber and returns to Hollywood casino to play $1-$2 poker and films the parking garage as required.
And apparently ELD assumes the top poker blog status by attrition with the conversion all contenders to candy and uber occupations.

There was a guy recently that started a vlog and mentioned losing at $15k at 1-3.
This is the guy that lost $15k. Looks like he has put up several new videos so I’m curious how he has done since hiring a coach. I saw a $3k bankroll mentioned.
New Vegas vlogger popped up on my feed. He's actually an admitted losing player at 1-3, stuck around 15k lifetime however he got a coach who apparently crushes 2-5 at Wynn. The channel is his journey from losing player to a profitable player.

I actually played about 500 hours in 2023 and was at $42/hr

Blue Poker reports doing errands and car wash and not getting up at 4 am for Uber and instead keeping the Las Vegas schedule of 12 noon wakeup time and watching football instead of Ubering. Further that In and Out Burger is better in California and the Nevada locations are not as good. Tomorrow he states he will get up at 3 am for Uber.
No, what he is saying is he is what is called a "winning player" in Texas.
This is what a lot of people are missing. Those who say they could easily win $30/hr in Vegas, yes. Yes, if you are playing a bunch of drunk tourists late Friday night on Superbowl weekend (or whatever the equivalent convention in town that weekend is).
But Trooper, ElD, Pchild, etc. All want to play Tuesday afternoons and be in bed by 8pm.
Also, ElD would actually table and room hop looking for a table of fellow nit promo comp grinders nursing short stacks at a few of his favorite nit promo grinder comp rooms.
Likewise Trooper, on one of his short lived 2/5 shots, played the Bellagio instead of Aria because the buy-in was capped at $500, and even then, he bought in short. You can't make money if you don't put money on the table.
Pchild and BikeKing simply aren't winning players, they couldn't win $30/hr even if they went on an infinite luckbox sun run. They are losers, they would find a way to blow it.
But nobody, no one, no matter how good they are, is going to book a long term $30/hr winrate given the dead time of day, dead day of the week, dead room, dead table that these guys seek out.
When you have a couple of short stacks on life support, some OMCs collecting an hourly comp until they can use their Senior Citizen Discount at the lunch buffet, a super nit folding and only playing pocket aces, and nobody calling a raise with less than the stone cold nuts, the only thing making $30/hr is the rake slot.
All the $30/hr winners are at home fast asleep waiting for 2am. During the Superbowl, didn't Trooper stay at home and watch his favorite movie for the 900th time? ElD leaves the strip on weekends and watches King of Queens reruns holed up at an AirBnb, or Flys out of town to wander homeless in a park.
Now in Texas, a good player (not a great player, but a good player) can win $30/hr because there is a huge supply of bad players who have no problem giving lots of money away. At Ballys (you may call it the Horseshoe) there isn't that same long line of players just waiting to lose a lot of money 3pm on a Thursday.
ELD reports on the milk apocolypse and to buy milk only at Target North of MGM Grand for the cheapest price of only $1.69 per half gallon 2%. People who buy milk at CVS and Walgreens are suckers and thus ELD sucessfully sources the equivalent of 4 servings of milk for less than $2 all in.
Needs to change his name to New York Nomad Porker Person. The last two council bluff videos were gawd awful, clearly the days of quality mayo and fish videos are long gone.
With think blue porker officially failing his 4am start time (who didnt see that coming), also spamming his youtube channel with sports betting screenshots, candy man not videoing nearly as much candy, man alive could this be the end of the "Vegas" part of this thread?!?!
edit: I upgraded my life and go for the $3.99 2% now - either Darigold 2% or Winco's organic milk. Such a step up from the watered-down swill ElD is pushing.
