i actually just recently acquired form my dad an electronic car cooler that i can plug into the cig lighter in the back - haven't used it yet but i'm sure at some point when i'm in the car i'm going to acquire something awesome that requires refrigeration and it'll come in handy
to just go again about how neurotic i am, my local supermarket chain is always changing prices on eggs, their white label store brand eggs are always the cheapest, but sometimes the 12 pack is cheaper per egg than the 18 pack and vice versa so everytime i go grocery shopping and buy eggs i'll stop and pause and check which version is cheaper that day and get that (i eat a lot of eggs)
also, when on the road, i'll take 5 minutes and scan the gas prices along the route and stop and fill up at the cheapest one along the way that's a brand which sells top tier gas (it's an actual thing)
there's even an app i use which grants additional discounts if I "checkin" on it, again it's like saving 4 cents a gallon but still i'm just of that neurotic mindset of "if i stop here i'll still have half a tank remaining but i'll save 47 cents in total than continuing to drive and just filling up whenever
maybe over an entire lifetime i'll spend a few dozen hours managing gas prices to save maybe $3.50 and then be a balla with all those savings
i'll even drive up to 5 minutes off the freeway if it's significantly cheaper (it often is)
i know how dumb it is, but being a liferoll nit i can't help not doing it, but this tiny attention to small discrepancies and micro ev is probably also why i thrived so much in poker, then dfs, and now sportsbetting
When I was in the early stages of building my nest egg, I'd keep a spreadsheet in the cloud that I would log all of my grocery prices into including $/ounce calculations.
When I was on a grocery run, I'd pull up the spreadsheet on my phone and if a particular item was at a low price point, I'd buy it in quantity. If the item was at a high point, I'd skip it or buy only what I absolutely needed.
Now, I don't really give AF.
You really think lots of pros chose Texas because of rake/time charge vs the quality of the games?
I used to do alot of cheap things too rickroll, not the extent el diesel either but always grocery shopped, which now i always just get door dash and in the hour im waiting i play on wsop in theory, make 1 or 200 in ev then go downstairs to get my groceries. Trying to do alot more things like this where im just concerned with maximizing ev rather than trying to save money. The grocery one is a great example and cooking for yourself is also a great example because its a classic "saving money" thing, but also by spending time and energy cooking there is opportunity cost that youre giving up. Alot of household chores also like this. Something to be said about doing some things on your own though, but i try to be more mindful of maximizing ev rather than minimizing spending. Now alot of times i wont play online during the time my groceries are coming and then its just wasted basically, which happens probably half the time
I think it's a part of the decision. It's part of what makes the games good as well

Saving money on gas is false economy since driving extra miles puts wear and tear and also Chevron is the best gas and the cheaper gas is more likely to have water in the underground tanks and clog injectors.
I can't believe any gas station pizza is worth that effort.
Rice could have broken the Internet if he just fell off the limb into the lake

No one should be at a single location in a national forrest for more than a day or two. That just makes it weird. If I see someone who looks to be "camped out" at a location/shelter, I'll move on and find another spot. I'm not getting hacked to death by some psychopath while I sleep at night.
Last Diesel video is hilarious. He is talking all kind of uninteresting BS while totally unaware of course that Herbs/Rye coudnt give a ****,he just keeps going on and on and on sometimes HR just replies "whatever". Lmao, pure comedy gold.
This commenter with some interesting requests for Rice on the newest vid grabbed my attention. OnlyFans coming soon?
Also, both these guys is clearly overweight so they should be looking to get something else than "breakfast pizza" for breakfast. But neither of them seems interested in living a healthy lifestyle, just horrible quality fast food, smoking cigars+++.
those two have one of the oddest relationships i've ever seen - there's nothing about their on camera presence that at all would indicate h&r actually likes him but they clearly are friends given how much travel they do together etc
i'm guessing that the camera makes things a bit weird and stilted where he doesn't want to share much (nor even be on film) and off camera it's more of a normal relationship
El Diesel/Rice is tiny compared to Herbs n Rye.
A better contest is, who is more humongous, Herbs n Rye or Think Blue Poker's buddy Brandon?
I don't think either one of them weigh much under 400 pounds?
any one that plays daily tourneys over cash games when they're trying to build a roll is not good at poker.
If you're a supposed winner at the game you should be grinding as many hours as possible.
There is nothing "normal" in El Diesel. And definitely not about in his relationships.
Ha, I have one of those too!
I haven't taken it out of the box though.
you're my kinda guy.
Lots of what Rick does resonates with me, so maybe we're both actually normies? Where conflict occurs is the balance between cheap and lazy. I'm both, so it's a constant battle. Like, I'm too cheap to use DoorDash/UE/etc on the reg, but I'm occasionally lazy enough to pull the trigger on delivery.
How does H&R stand him? He must like him to fly all the way to freakin Iowa.
Diesel seems exhausting to hang around.
My cheap side hugely outweighs my lazy side. But if it comes down to a battle between the two, even if I can save a lot of money by expending a lot of effort, I just don't do it at all.
Herbs and rye and rice are all spoon foods

The WSOP circuit was at Council Bluffs. I doubt he'd fly to Omaha / CB just for El D.
Brandon is shorter and rounder. HR is taller.

Besides gas station pizza, ELD now recommends on Twitter Golden Apple Buffet in Papillion, Nebraska for cheap rice and Chinese food.
Meanwhile Think Blue has significantly downgraded to Hollywood casino which has no rooms for nomads and no way to get free parking due to tier level. Plus a convoluted system wherein one must reserve parking online prior to arrival?! He works a half day which about 1/3 of his earning go to Hollywood parking costs.
there's a special place in hell for any businesses or venues which charge their own customers for parking
