Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
In its cruelty, Israel is blocking tent poles and water filters from entering Gaza.

According to Reuters the "evidence" for this claim is sources who have supposedly seen an Egyptian document making such a claim, but have no physical proof such a document actually exists. So yeah, I am going to go ahead and say this is likely not true, or at best a half truth.

Yeah that article says workers in hospitals "know it's Israel" but they really have no idea

Bigots believe it's not evidence if it comes from Arabs.

Additional sources within the article, you liars:

Reuters reporters saw a pile of what looked like thick canvas tents, discarded on the floor in a corner of the Kuwait Hospital. This was because they had been delivered without poles, according to Dr Suhaib al-Hams, chairman of the hospital's board of directors.

A Gaza social affairs ministry official said he was aware of about 150 tents arriving without poles, out of 30 trucks loaded with tents.Ashraf Abu Sakran, a builder displaced from his home in Gaza City, said he had rejected the offer of a tent without poles.

And this is all coming from Reuters, a far more reliable source than the liars here.

An entirely different reporter working for AP uses different sources to also report tent poles are banned.

Israel won't let food and water in. These clowns are trying to argue they are allowing tents in.

Doesn't mean Israel didn't allow the poles

While we're on the subject of inhuman Israeli water rules . . . in the West Bank it is illegal for Palestinians to collected RA... for any purpose. Meanwhile next door, the settlers have water for swimming pools.

Nonsense. You didn't read the second article:

The two senators said they saw a warehouse in Rafah filled with material that had been rejected in inspection. It included oxygen cylinders, gas-powered generators, tents and medical kits used in delivering babies. Aid workers told the senators the tents were refused because they included metal poles, and the medical kits because they included scalpels.

I believe we now have five or six independent sources confirming that water filters and tent poles are turned back at the Gaza border by Israelis.

Is it fair to assume these posts are basically coping mechanisms because we now know that the beheaded babies and and the mass rapes that you two pushed relentlessly as 'the narrative' were bullshit stories from the start?

Sick people these 'settlers.' Modern day apartheid is real.

The fins allowed hitler to be in finland as long as he left their jews alone

Not one finnish jew was murdered by Hitler

They have one holocaust memorial in Finland. It's for jews who tried to emigrate to finland and got murdered on the way

Finnish people were not in favor of the final solution

Palestinians today are

I think seven Finnish Jews were murdered by the germans. A Finnish General tried to cooperate with the Nazis and send Jews and I believe 8 were sent before he was stopped. Seven of those eight Jews never returned.

Finns generally also want Israel to stop bombing Gaza.

Most reasonable peope/nations generally wants hostilities to stop. But I think there is also some hope by much of the world this could break the Palestinian dedication towards war and making unreasonable demands. I think there is a hope Israel can cut off the supply and support of the Palestinian guerrilla war machine, and this could for the first time in the last 80 years force Palestinians to be reasonable and not demand the rest of the world fund their dreams of conquest.

Also, I think this has woken the world up to just how corrupt and malignant the UNRWA has been in the whole operation.

Why isn't Egypt allowing food and water in? Did the rulers of Gaza murder lots of their people too?

You realize his assertions aren't actually true, right? Food and water definitely gets in, although Hamas takes a lot of it down into the tunnels with them. I suspect by this point you could separate Hamas from true civilians using BMI.

read about the Rafah crossing. all the supplies and resources that come from Egypt must be inspected by Israel. you are ignorant. you have not read anything about this and you are acting like you know things.

read the article.

I see little evidence for this. I think most nations with no interests in the Middle East, or ways to influence Israel, are condemning Israel's methods. The nations with interests in the Middle East and ways to influence Israel realize that when two factions are at war with each other, and want to continue to be at war with each, and no larger outside force is willing to make them stop, that those two factions will be at war with each other. Accepting this reality, the nations that can influence Israel have chosen to do so within this awful framework, otherwise Israel would be conducting an unrestrained offensive with casualties that far exceed the horrible numbers we are seeing.

Violence is the currency of extremist factions that want war as far as recruitment is concerned. Outside forces have already agreed to fund the currency for weapons. Even if Hamas is removed from Gaza, Israel is inflicting enough violence that recruitment efforts for other extremists factions is pretty much guaranteed. This means Israel is heading towards an occupation scenario which involves IDF on the ground throughout Gaza, which just about every country is advising against.

this is a pattern from chillrob. he comes to a conclusion and he has done absolutely no research at all. he is supremely confident in his assessment and has never even done the most rudimentary study, like just a simple google search and wikipedia skim. unsuprisingly, his opinions mirror perfectly the standard liberal narrative that is projected by the mainstream media.

will he change his opinion when factual evidence is presented to him? I think we all know the answer to that question.

if he wanted to learn anything then he wouldnt be in her asking bullshit questions that are easily answered with the minimal effort.

They still need weapons to be smuggled in in large amounts and materials to build infrastructure to fund the guerrilla war machine. They can recruit all they want, but without weapons and supplies there isn't much they can do to attack Israel, especially if North Gaza is transformed to a "No Man's Land." It's a long walk from South Gaza to the border if the goal is to invade Israel again anytime soon.

The Palestinians have a lot more heavy weapons and rockets than even Israel expected, which I think says a lot about how UNRWA has been helping supply them. I think there is a hope that if Israel and Egypt do a better job of controlling the checkpoints than they could dramatically impede the weapons flow, even if recruitment continues.

Also, there is no guarantee the Palestinians will continue to have a guaranteed supply of willing weapons suppliers moving forward. Qatar has been heavily investing in the West and may decide the juice isn't worth the squeeze to keep funding the Palestinian war effort, and who knows what is going to happen in Iran moving forward.

Why should I read an AP article, when you have often said I shouldn't trust western mainstream media.

I think I will be better off just reading everything you post and believing the opposite, because I know a lot of what you post is straight out lies.

Umm, I came to this thread today, after a long time of avoiding it, because you recommended I do so. You're welcome!!

I didn't offer any opinions here yet though.

you cant point to a single lie I have posted. I post facts. you post conjecture bc you love killing children and you love Nazis.

this is such a disgusting and ignorant viewpoint. its truly heinous and it is the epitome of why I think liberals are the scum of the earth.

I reported both of those and encourage others to do the same.

gotta support the USA bc they help the Israelis do the genocide humanely. I mean, without the calming and steady and magnanimous hand of the USA, who knows what would happen?

absolutely sickening perspective and not in any way resembling reality.
