President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden

Right now, we need VP Biden, we need him to step down and drop out so Bernie sanders can save this country from this global crisis just like FDR.

A thread to debate the efficacy of a Joe Biden Presidency in the midst of a global pandemic and impending Great Recession/Depression.

Where is Joe Biden? Can he beat Trump and is he even trying to? What would a Joe Biden Presidency look like in these times? Where is he and why isn't he leading?

She turned from Republican to Independent because of Trump, so trying to say she isn't really a Republican is sort of odd. Plus, while her name is on the case, she was not suing alone. The others were Republicans and Independents. No Democrats were involved.

We don't know enough about all the 6 plaintiffs to be sure none of them is a registered democrat to be fair.

But even assuming that's the case, i am pretty sure the democrats bahbah was referring to were the 4 state supreme court judges who voted to reverse the district state court decision.

All 7 colorado supreme court judges are appointed by democrats (unsurprisingly as there has been a democratic governor there since 2006).

Unclear if you can call them democrats but if you can call an ex-republican a republican i guess you can call people appointed by democrats, democrats.

If he wants to say that this is the Democrats' doing because the judges were Democrats, that's fair. But you have to then give more culpability to the Republicans and Independents who actually brought this lawsuit. It's not like the judges went out and did this on their own.

So you are telling us u advocate anyone doing fraud should just run for political office to escape their fraud and the judicial system ?

Man this Bernie maddoff miss his ticket did he Â…

He argued one of his extremely illiquid assets was worth more than what the bank thought it was worth. I know everyone here has called the government to inform them that the property valuation on their property taxes seems a little light, but we must remember that there are people out there who convince the media and 50 high ranking intelligence agents to lie about a laptop that has stuff on them that would make them look bad.

Hi bahbah. Will you be responding to ganstaman's post?

So u didn’t much reply to my post .
Do you still believe Justice shouldn’t pursue any people accuse of fraud if they decide to go into politics because u think it’s just a play to toss them out ?

For the bolded part , u mean this kind of high ranking officer ?
Maybe you are not up to date with the case …

Man accused of lying to FBI about Hunter Biden claimed he got fake information from Russian intelligence

the Trump-appointed prosecutor tasked with investigating the president's son — accused Smirnov of providing his FBI handlers with fake allegations about Hunter and Mr. Biden in 2020. He claimed the two Bidens each accepted $5 million from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. The claims "were false, as the Defendant knew," according to the charging documents filed against him.

In a court memo unsuccessfully urging a judge overseeing the case to keep Smirnov behind bars pending trial, prosecutors wrote Tuesday that after he was arrested last week for lying, "Smirnov admitted that officials associated with Russian intelligence were involved in passing a story about Businessperson 1." Businessperson 1 appears to align with Hunter Biden.

Crash and burn ….again !
So much time and money waste by the Republican for of course , the interest of the American people not for trump …

Were it not Republicans who sued in Colorado to takeTrump off the ballot? I guess this would imply you believe no one could morally support Republicans for the next 10 years. But that's only if you were trying to be consistent and not just troll the libs.

Why are you only mentioning Colorado despite other states making the same efforts?

Do you believe any dem or any dem appointed judge helped in this process in any state?

Yes, California SoS refused to ban trump from primary ballots, and I think at least 3 other Dem states did the same explicitly.

Newsom agreed not to remove him, against some internal Dem opposition.

Some states didn't even take that into consideration (yet).

You said that people shouldn't vote Democrat because Democrats took Trump off the ballot. If there is a state where Republicans were responsible for taking Trump off the ballot, doesn't it stand to reason that people shouldn't vote for them too?

The border disaster must be polling very badly for Biden

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/02/21/polit...

//
No final decision has been made on the action under consideration, which involves using an authority known as 212f between ports of entry to try to clamp down on unlawful border crossings. An administration official noted that the administration often evaluates actions that could be taken, but they don’t always move forward.

It’s unclear how the proclamation under discussion would be executed and what, if anything, would be different from what was enacted during the Trump administration. Lawyers within the administration have been reviewing the action, one source said.

praying that Dems do a Jan 6th

praying that Dems do a Jan 6th

They don't have the house so they literally can't even if they wanted to.

If a name for POTUS doesn't come out of the Senate, the house decides.

And they just passed an act reducing the freedom of the VP and the Senate in general to come up with some "inventive" way to disregard the actual vote.

Sad to see thanks to Joe Biden’s open borders a Georgia student had to die

So sad

In thought it was the republicans that agree with nothing to make progress on that front?

Biden admin ended the remain in Mexico policy and other actions by the executive (no need for Congress) that trump enacted that allowed caging illegals when caught (as the law in theory requires) and sending more of them back.

They chose to do so on purpose and recently they blamed congress for that in one of the many horrid attempts to deflect responsibility.

Democrats know they could have solved the problem partially through executive power which is why they are considering reinstating some of trump policies, now that the border disaster is costing them in polls.

But it's a democrat made disaster, and voters know it.

it's just so statistically insignificant. but if the republicans voted for the most stringent border law in the last two decades maybe they could have a leg to stand on.

I can only imagine if that was my reply to a transgender death ?

You replying like that would show that you are on top of the situation. Without the Republicans, this stricter law would have been voted in ......and the country could move forward instead of stagnating.

Friggin' Republicans (and I have been a registered R for decades). There are SO many bad decisions being made by the Rs. it's hard to pick out the Worst. And honestly!, there are no Best decisions to crow about.

depends on the crime. most likely it would show you didn't know the difference between a hate crime and a random murder that happen roughly 44 times per day in a country of 330,000,000.

Joe Biden not acknowledging his oldness and passing the baton over to Gavin Newson may be one of the biggest mistakes in presidential history.

It has to be ego at this point and we are gonna be blessed with a garbage ass Trump part 2 as a result.

Beautiful.

Unfortunately that’s looking like the most probable scenario right now.

I think the real problem is if biden were to step down who is stepping up. I don't see middle-America voting for a present day CA politician enough for him to be competitive in a national election.

20% uncommitted vote in MN primary. lower protest votes elsewhere. i thought it was a bad sign overall, but his nominee and presidency odds increased today, so i guess market saw his super tuesday performance as better than expected.

SOTU incoming... despite reading from a teleprompter projected from 15 angles, don't think he has the stamina to make it the distance. if he doesn't have a headline worthy meltdown along the way, i'll shut up and just accept he is the nominee. still don't see him winning in november though.
