Baby's got the bends.

My appetite has been diminished since having covid or whatever. That is actually a brag, however the aforementioned brain damage is kind of a beat.

My buddy is in town visiting. Shortly we will commence on a 15-hour Bellagio grind. It's easier to put in volume with friends. The game stays fun and there's usually someone to laugh at.

I've eliminated sushi from my life. Can't think of food with shittier diminishing returns.

lose weight, get ripped, bang supermodels

go go go

Won at Wynn, Bellagio, and Aria before dumping it all and back and some at MGM.

Secret Pizza at Cosmo is amazing. It's too bad I won't be able to find it again lol.

Happy International Women's Day.

We'll crucify the insincere tonight

It also hinders profitability to a higher degree than expected.

Not that I lost or anything.

It appears I am still getting stronger mentally. Maybe that will be an ongoing thing for a while.

Weed no longer throws me out of wack. For easy and small poker games it's fine to co-mingle. For hard calculations it's not the best. It also wears off after a couple of hours and I will forget I've smoked -- if you're wondering why that is noteworthy it's because that used to not be the case.

I'm crushing the poker games with a style that may be unique. Most very tight players don't also play with ferocity. My edge in small stakes games is like a blade. And I feel like my live reads are getting more useful. My best attribute is avoiding bad situations; it's not that I don't ever get it in bad, rather I am constantly navigating the waters better than my opponents.

I've been feeling good to great most days. I don't know how I should feel about playing poker all day. It remains fun and relaxing everlasting, but there is a feeling that something is missing in my life if all I do is bob around for a couple of hours a day after playing cards. This actually doesn't bother me though. Beating up on easy poker games is probably the most fun job you can have besides for a few vocations like the arts and athletics. I don't feel bad about it at all. It's just...it's hard to put my finger on it...I will just keep reflecting every so often and try and fill the puzzle.

As the wind-up toys wind down
Muffling the sound
Of a life hidden underground

Got crushed in poker today.

Feeling too laconic to blog.

Today I lost to a straight flush.
Yesterday I lost boat over boat, and set over set.
The day before I lost quads over quads.
The day before that I lost KK vs AA.

Today I pawned n00bs for 6 1/2 hours. I am thinking a 10a-5pm schedule will be good for my circadian rhythm. Those hours still feel part time to me so I should be able to do them every day.

I looked at trash all day and won +73.
I'm on pace for 170 hours this month.

The fundamental theorem of reading players at the table

I have increased the breadth of my live reads since arriving in Vegas.

I ran this by one of the best small stakes players in the world and he agrees with my thesis:

When reading an opponent, it is better to consult an accumulation of prior reads. It's best to not look too much into their appearance in the moment, rather taking notice of their features from sitting down and onward.

While I occasionally get it right when someone moves in and I take a guess if they look like they're bluffing or not, I am relying on "in the moment reads" exactly 0% for the 4.5 months that I have been here.

I'm surprised more critics don't think Venetian is the best casino in Vegas. It has the best architecture, and a really consistent drink staff. There are probably more than 50 places to eat between The V and Palazzo.

I drew the 2nd pick in my Sister's fantasy baseball league. I will be taking Mookie Betts.

Night session at The V this evening. Should be fun.

I'll take Firouzja and Goryachkina to win the Candidates each, you can have the field. The betting market is now open.
