Ukraine-Russia War Take 2
Here is what the preliminary take on the Ukraine thread disappearing is:
The site was hit with a massive spam attack where hundreds of spam threads were created. In the case where, for example, I see a single spam thread and delete it, that is called a soft delete, and mods can still see them but forum members cannot. Those deletion can be undone.
When a massive attack hits with hundreds of threads, an admin uses a different procedure where the hundreds of spam threads are merged and then hard deleted, where the threads are gone, and no note is left behind. As I have mentioned with my own experience of just soft deleting a large number of posts, sometimes a post or thread gets checked or merged accidentally and is deleted by mistake. Dealing with hundreds of spam threads takes a sledgehammer, not a scalpel.
It appears that our Ukraine thread may have gotten caught up in that recent net of spam threads. If so, it is likely gone for good. I cant say this for sure, and am awaiting comments from admins on this issue. Yes, this sucks. And hopefully there was some other software glitch that caused the disappearance, and we may recover it in the future.
But in the meantime, I have created this new Ukraine-Russia War thread to enable the conversation to continue. Obviously continuity with earlier discussions will be lost. There is no way around that. So as best as possible, let's pick up the conversation with recent events and go from there.
If you have any questions about this, please post them in the mod thread, not here. Let's keep this thread going with posts about the war, not the disappearance of the old thread.

I disagree on both accounts. BGP loves to strawman and twist words and fail to provide evidence. further, he always refuses to accept clarification and must maintain the most bad faith interpretation that he can think of.

How that ceasefire benefited Putin should be extremely evident, but in case it wasn't it was explained in detail as well. The fact that you continue to state that supporting the ceasefire Putin wanted and Ukraine did not want shows that you don' support Putin (just reread that...) shows that you are either continuing to use that example in bad faith or you have little understanding of the situation.

You know you said all those things which is why you are refusing to point out any as dishonest interpretations. While accusing me of being dishonest you are being dishonest, a constant trend in your posts.
If you are ashamed of the things you said, that is great, a lot of them are completely shameful positions and this shows some recognition of that. Start doing better. While owning up to your previous positions would be better, at least you're showing some recognition that your previous behavior was abhorrent even if it's a childish way of doing so.
I hope to see you showing some reflection on your previous stances and improve going forward. Although we've had similar situations before and I was disappointed.

I think anyone blaming these events on anyone else right now can be discarded as a source forever on any topic, at this moment any blaming is 100% propaganda.
There is 0 data on which to make any assertion about who's behind these attacls, and every smart trustable person no matter what he thinks about the russian-ukraine war, knows that.

I think anyone blaming these events on anyone else right now can be discarded as a source forever on any topic, at this moment any blaming is 100% propaganda.

The FSB say at least 40 killed and 100 wounded, per latest BBC report on the same page. No idea what kind of 'extremists' the US Moscow embassy said were planning such an attack two weeks ago.
