2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

If right now there were 30,000 dead Israelis in this conflict, any combination of IDF and civilian, would you or anyone else still call this a genocide?
Same exact results on the Palestinian side otherwise.
Now be honest with yourselves, and come back with your answer. What would history call that situation?
Of it would be genocide, but we all know that the US would pick off such activities before it ever got to that point. Same exact results including 80% displacement.
Can we remind the thread that the definition of genocide is "the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group"? Not the Nazi holocaust and only the Nazi holocaust.
I'd rather you just admit it's genocide and that you're fine with it because reasons.

What differentiates genocide from casualties during the course of a war is the exertion of a power imbalance removing an identity/culture/ethnicity from a location.
This is simply not the case. There will be Palestinians in Gaza long after this, and in greater and greater numbers as the trends have gone over the years.
If Israel lost 30k people and not a thing changed on the other side, nobody would say a thing. The issue here is purely of "imbalance", not of actual acts on the ground.

So between being hated when we were powerless vs being hated now, I take this forever and ever. We don't mind that you hate us. All we mind is that you lie about it.

More people have been on these marches than there are Jews in Britain. The CST has had impact statements from British Jews explaining that they feel unsafe living in this country and are changing dates of hospital appointments, forbidding their children to get on the train, and so on.
