These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. 2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

I don't really understand how this justifies the current genocide not being called genocide. That's rafiki's point. That this is only being called genocide because of Jew hatred. This is being classified as genocide because it is genocide. You admitted as such and I've respected your point of view because we agree on a lot itt.
I get what you're saying. People don't really pay attention, but Israel-Palestine is a provocative subject. It isn't due to Jew hatred. It's due to the extreme polarization making for good television. There was no "that Sudan **** is totally cool with me" attitude to stage debates.
That's a ban worthy "contentless attack". There's been probably 10+ of these I've reported.
Also lol at claiming bias and calling me an authoritarian when I critiques the authority in this forum, because that authority is silencing criticism of you.
Who is silencing criticism of Victor? I have personally criticized Victor dozens of times. Posters frequently call Victor a hyperbolic, antisemitic, Putin apologist with no repercussions. IMO, he deserves (or at least invites) a lot of the criticism that he receives.

I did not mean to imply that you are silencing all criticism of Victor. I am saying Victor is "bootlicking" authority while calling me an authoritarian bootlicker, because at the moment you are attempting to silence me regarding a decision about Victor:

This is not true, and it's pretty easy to verify. To begin with I don't critique anyone for not wanting to send money to Israel, I think it's a very complex issue.
There are several posters who don't want to send money to Ukraine that I'd encourage to post more. Your views have nothing to do with why I think you should be banned.

I would ban mets if he continued to post that. I believe his posting that stems from being on the receiving end of similar posts for months, and he would not be posting things like that when he is not on the receiving end of such posts for months.

I am not trying to silence you regarding a decision about Victor. The only decision I made was to ban CV for two days. You can moderate the entire forum and ban whoever you want for all I care.

I didn't insult him for disagreeing with me, i was annoyed at him for defending your rabid antisemitism
most on this forum think that Palestinians are allowed to be murdered. most on this forum think that Ukrainians can be forced to the front lines to be murdered.
anything opposite of that is antisemitism or Putin-loving.
and we all know you would enforce that viewpoint with an iron fist. we know who you are.

I am not obligated to moderate this forum. I don't particularly enjoy moderating this forum. And I certainly am not under an obligation to ensure that the next moderator protects you.
I am not convinced that BGP would be the best choice to mod this forum, but if Bobo and Spew disagree, that's fine with me. On balance, I would rather have BGP moderate the forum than do it myself.
like, we got in a tiff a bout the air drops. I said they were a net negative. I am sure that BGP if mod would have banned me for such intransigence as to criticize the West for hunger games style dropping food that often resulted in the death of starving Gazans.
but here we are a few weeks later and they themselves say exactly what I predicted. they force starving people to swim into the ocean to get aid and many drown.
you dont get credit for being right. you only get credit for expressing the sanctioned viewpoints and with BGP those will be very narrow viewpoints.
