Okay, so MAGA rejected the result of democracy when they lost.
Organized a coup with nazis for months, then violently attacked the capitol.
They failed at overthrowing the government, but several died and many injured.
MAGA maintains they won the election and democracy is wrong.
MAGA insists the coup participants are political prisoners who will be pardoned when they win again.
...but...
MAGA is not fascist because they failed at the coup.
Despite fighting against democracy tooth and nail with nazis and terrorists who are literally fascists.
This was true at the national level before the 1980s. But as you say, it hasn't been true since.
This whole Dems and Repubs are one party with two factions definitely resonates. On the broad ideological spectrum it’s basically just two means to the same end
Which one was that?
Rinos have long controlled the Repubs and were always in lockstep w/ Dems as far as the macro globalist agendas (central banking is at the heart of all this too). For example, Obama and Bush are basically friends now and the two were seemingly on either side of violently different political views. Yet Obama has turned the Dems into war mongers as the Rinos once were and still are. Liberal voters have been gaslit into loving war now!!!
Trump was simply a tea party type movement that blew up bigger than anyone could have imagined due to his teflon nature of becoming stronger the more he's attacked. Sanders was sort of his counterpart on the other side and as can be witnessed currently in Europe (Le Pen/Farage etc...), populists are what the people want. It's the only hope for tangible change. Sanders was sabotaged by his own party and never Trumper Rinos are trying to sabotage Trump.
Across the world and in the U.S. it's the establishment globalists vs populism.
However, even Trump is still somewhat of a slave to Israel and the Federal Reserve. He has to be. If you cross either you are pretty much guaranteed to be unalived.
Well that’s just false. He’s one of the most cited linguistic scholar of all time.
ITT we learn from BGnight that Trump is a true man of the people. A man of morals, integrity, and principle. The hero the nation so richly deserves.
We also learn that BGNight is an incompetent troll and a bit of an all-round dunce.
‘If trump crosses the federal reserve he’ll be killed’ is a take
"Unalived", bro. Can't say "killed" in case his post gets demonetised.
Yes, that's the whole idea of populism in its current form - tell people what they want to hear, often appealing to their most base emotions that said populists have been cultivating for some time. Tell them things are terrible, and provide them with an elitist enemy that only you and your non-elitist (LOL) team can get rid of.
And this is why they do it. The inculcated believe the change is necessary and good, and even the fact that a populist couldn't provide this change in 4 years doesn't dissuade them.
No, no, not killed - unalived. Because that's the kind of doublespeak the shadowy deep state uses when they make it happen.
It's so odd to hear people refer to it as populism, especially when our own antifascist propaganda videos characterize this sort of speech as fascist. Don't be a sucker.
Why is it "so odd"? Populism and fascism aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, they can be very successful in tandem.
This part might be true.
I always envisioned populism in the literal sense of what's best for people. That's all.
As if it isn’t normal in the end , 2 people thinking differently about issues couldn’t be friends, being in the grand scheme of things -> Americans ?
Tea party and maga are actually the rinos….
U even said it yourself ->
tea party type movement that blew up bigger than anyone could have imagined
It was a marginal trench in the republic party .
Now Is its the tail wagging the dog .
Not only did farage achieve nothing but even France corrected course
Fgators going for it all tho
and when was the last time that existed anywhere?
The early Chavez years maybe.
Oh, I see - fair enough then. Ideally, that's what it would be, but unfortunately when we see the brand of populism Trump and other similar figures are bringing, I think it fits my description.
That isn't what the term is typically understood to mean.
Yeah, I think it's more along the lines of appealing to the lowest common denominator. I suppose you could argue that what appeals to the most people is what's "best for the people" but I doubt that's the usually the case.
It's appealing to what people "think" is best for them. Often, the people are wrong.
