So let’s make sure we got this right: a sniper had all the time in the world to hit a target who wasn’t moving. He missed. The sniper wasn’t spotted by the secret service whose sole job is to protect trump prior to the shot but was near instantaneously taken out by secret service after the shot(s)

Ya that sharpfootball tweet above with the BBC guy is wild. I don't know how secret service didn't protect that area in the first place. Only 400 ft away. Clear line of sight to the former president. Brutal execution there.

My initial reaction was it was an attempted snipe from 1 mile or more. Because a) anywhere closer should be protected by SS, and b) anywhere closer shouldn't be a tough shot. That's a really bad miss from that distance.

Ya good movie. Those are from like 10-20x the distance. Wind matters greatly at that distance.

It is also a ****ing disgrace that Biden hasn't made a statement yet. Probably writing the speech for him because he can't speak off the top of his head - if he comes out later on in front of the cameras with a ****ing prepared speech and starts reading of the teleprompter I am going to be pissed

Guys, the Secret Service sucks. There’s been like three books in the past few years about how much they suck. The most likely explanation for this is that they sucked today.
