I didn't say that. I am merely telling you what qualified medical professionals have said about the two. Neither you nor I are qualified to judge, so deferring to experts is the correct move here.

Perhaps you have missed rickrolls body of work, he is an expert on every subject he shares his opinion.

anyone have any reason to state about why the current VP is a poor or weak candidate?

no charisma

Kamala ran a completely dogshit campaign in 2020 and while she held her own well with pence she was a catastrophe running for the nomination and facing multiple people on the debate stage. If you believe the tea leaves the only reason she’s the VP instead of KloBo is because of George Floyd

That’s not to say she’s a weak candidate today. She’s the sitting vice president, has done the job for 4 years and ran with biden on the strangest election cycle til today. But the stink of her campaign can’t be dismissed entirely out of hand

by ligastar P

this SCOTUS' reading of the 22nd amendment would make this an impossibility (not that your post is serious anyway)
!

About the Barack Obama for VP I of course looked it up before I posted it, and came across this:

"A twice-before-elected President may become Vice-President either through appointment or through election and — like any other Vice-President — may thereafter succeed from that office to the Presidency ..."

I can't believe there is any gray area on such a subject, but there seems to be various takes. I'll have to leave it to constitutional scholars, but the quoted above seems to say point blank he can be on the ticket as VP and then ascend via succession, doesn't it??

"trust the experts" has been the go-to phrase to gaslight the public who can see with their eyes biden's not well. prior to the debate when denying cognitive decline was the name of the game, PBS, NPR, MSNBC brought on "experts" to dispel dementia myths. "no evidence" they said, ignoring a trove of disturbing video footage. also lol the thought any doctor would possibly go on air and be the first to diagnose the president without being able to physically observe him.

once they they wanted him out, reports leaked that a parkinsons doctor visited the WH 8 times in the last 8 months.

Even if that’s theoretically possible it would be IMMEDIATELY challenged in the Supreme Court where a 6-3 supermajority of hyperconservative activists would be very unlikely to allow Obama to be on the ticket

but if they don't let Obama on the ticket, that means they aren't letting Trump on the ticket as 2028 VP

Considering the only example of this I can think of is Medvedev and Putin, I don't think it's really the look Dems are looking for.

Where did you get this? Because that's not in the 22nd amendment.

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

elected is the key word

It seems so to me. But Fella's post read like he was quoting the text.

by diebitter P

Have Trumpers started laying the seeds for 'we lost because Dems cheated by bait and switch' yet?

I think that was Trumps stream of conscious ramblings yesterday about him getting reimbursed for fraud after prepping for Biden

Oxford: "the deliberate killing or severe mistreatment of a large number of people from a particular national or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group"
Wikipedia: "Genocide is the intentional destruction of a people in whole or in part."
Cambridge: "the murder of a whole group of people, especially a whole nation, race, or religious group"

The first two readily describe the situation in Gaza. The third doesn't, but the

... i rest my case...

Biden's real issue is that he just isn't charismatic.

and here i thought it was the crippling dementia

This is a gray area. Scholars disagree. And SRM is correct that this SCOTUS likely would reject any reading of the 22nd and 12th amendments that allowed Obama to be VP.

SCOTUS is generally originalists. Would be interesting to see them twist through hoops to make a non-originalist ruling.

If they didn't want a 2 term president to be able to hold the office of VP wouldn't they have put that in the 22nd?

“I’m afraid if we lose this one, it’s going to take a civil war to save the country,” said George Lang, a state senator from the Cincinnati area, shortly before Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance took the stage at his first solo rally in Middletown, his hometown.

I’m not saying every trump supporter is openly jerking off for political violence and the thought of civil war or overthrowing the government but every person openly jerking off for political violence and the thought of civil war or overthrowing the government is voting for trump

I think what we’ve learned is the constitution was written and amended by people with no foresight for how hard it would get angleshot

Based on Vance’s first rally I feel confident declaring him a disaster

I'm fairly convinced Vance is a plant. The guy is a hick through and through. No way he stormed his way through Yale impressing the pants off incredibly intelligent people.

Oh god, I think I just called Vance DEI

he's from some suburb that has 50k people.. he is definitely not a hick.. he's even cosplaying at that because he spent a summer in kentucky.

i am significantly more of a "hick" than Vance.. at least i actually grew up on a farm in Appalachia.

I didn't follow it at all, would love to know why you feel this way.

he's weird and not likeable. the thought is that he was picked to appease the base(and the techmaga's since he's Thiel's baby) in a situation where they wouldn't need him to do anything because Trump was going to walk to a victory.. now that victory scenario has changed and rumors are republicans are already regretting the pick.

he said something about how the left is going to say diet mountain dew is racist. like all of his gotcha's were just insanely dumb and didnt even draw reactions from the fully maga crowd.

It was a complete low energy dud where he laughed at his own jokes to no reaction and the headline is gonna be some weird nonsense about how libs will call him racist cuz he drinks diet Mountain Dew (not kidding)

He already brought nothing to the table to energize the base and if anything alienated them by marrying an Indian woman. This just seems like a fiasco
